One of my favorite bars in East Village . There's a different DJ every day, so you don't know what to expect. But so far I wasn't disappointed.
Ray Charles used to work as a barber until he developed a drinking problem and lost his sight. Blind Barber was where he got his site back and overcame alcoholism .
After getting a cut, trim or The Blind Barber's signature Hangover Remedy Shave, patrons are welcome to kick off a brand new hangover with a complimentary cocktail in the shop's 1920's-style speakeasy Read more
One of the best places to go in New York City . Great cocktails by awesome bartenders with a good vibe. When it's late, the DJ will get people dancing . Oh, did I mention it's an ACTUAL barbershop ?
Love this place. Very chill and relaxed. Go before 9 and they have 7 dollar cocktails . Friendly waiter and nice quiet room in the back. You can actually talk here unlike most loud bars .
Unreal hidden speakeasy with an upbeat yet chill atmosphere, awesome dance floor , and great cocktails
A party and awesome atmosphere from the minute I walked in to the minute I left. The DJ is great and mixes up the music . The drinks were pricey but delicious. Can't wait to come back here!
just try it! ???? I liked it a lot! ???? here is the tip: night is still young so put your phone away, order a drink and enjoy the music ! ????
Tried everything on the menu, all really delicious and refreshing. Highly recommend Sweeney Todd and Heirloom. Come on a weekday to avoid the crowds
Probably one of the cooler "speakeasy " bars I've been to in the city . The cocktails are solid. It is really a barber shop during day and bar at night. The velvet rope for "exclusivity" is a bit much.
Had a great time here on a Saturday night- good D.J. and atmosphere. Honestly though one bartender was so overtly rude that it’s hard to justify going back. Everything was great until that happened
The atmosphere is really cool. The bartenders in aprons lend an interesting air to the place. It gets really, really packed even during weekdays. Bartenders were competent making good drinks.
An awesome speakeasy in the EV. Be sure to go early though as the line can get long. If you ball hard, get bottle service . It's well worth it here!
I don't get the generally charming feel of a speakeasy because you can see right into the bar from the street and it's often a zoo on the sidewalk but stop in before 9pm and the cocktails are only $7.
Walk in a schlep, walk out dapper. Two chairs, two barbers at a time, speakeasy in the back...shall I go on? All the guys are rad, but Eric's my guy. Beard trims and sharp cuts are their specialty.
A surprisingly good barbershop turned hip and a little bro-y speakeasy nightclub on weekends. Can get a bit loud but they make a good old fashioned.
The only place I've ever seen to dare make a cocktail with Bruichladdich scotch (The Penicillin). Pretty good btw.
Best barbers in the city . Book an appointment with Rob if you can. Oh yeah, there's also a beautiful bar in the back.
Searching for a place with great cocktails and a dance vibe to round out the night? Look no further. Can get crowded around midnight but 1/2am is prime.
Been here a few times...not a favorite but if you've never been you should make a point to stop by. Just one of those spots everyone has been to at least once.
The place feels like a bar that is growing up and becoming more sophisticated. Lack of tables means more room to dance and space to stand and drink. Whiskey cocktails are more on the fruity side.
Get a haircut then grab a drink, seriously! A barbershop with a beautifully laid out bar hidden behind a sliding door. Bartenders--make that mixologists!--mix some of the best drinks in the city .
Hidden bar in a barbershop . Get the strawberry fields drink, the heathers drink & the blue feels drink.
Get into a barber shop and find your way to the bar through the sliding door - pretty cool bar in the back!
Trendy barber shop by day and an even trendier bar by night, the Blind Barber is a place to see and be seen at all hours of the day.
for a chill night definitely come on a weeknight before 8ish for the happy hour $9 house cocktail . my favorite drink was the maybach colada <3
Stop by during the happy hour you will get 50% off on selected beers and cocktails . Oh..and you can get a nice haircut on your way out!!
This place is still good years after opening, arrive early or with a good looking crowd. awesome drinks. they now have a nutella pizza .. what? (4 of 4 petals via Fondu) Read more
The hot heather is a great refreshing drink and you can reserve an awesome private room in the back like bo
Christine has consistently given me the best haircuts I've ever had. The whole staff is friendly and they serve fantastic beverages and put on good music .
Dress appropriately and say all the right things to the barber shop doorman , and you will be shown out the back and through a door to a dark speakeasy . Read more
Rob is great; barely had to tell him what I wanted, and he gave me the best cut I've ever had. Already scheduled my next appointment because I was so impressed.
If you drink alcohol you should try a cocktail . If you don't drink alcohol you should ask for water served up in a martini glass because they make the best watertini in town !
Probably my favorite place to go dancing in the city ! Super fun vibe. I just wish it wasn't super crowded .
One of the best speakeasies in NYC. $7 happy hour drinks from 6-9pm on Fridays. Drinks are DELICIOUSLY STRONG.
If I ever cut my hair... It will be here... With beer , and the best bartenders .. Riv, Colin. Best DJ . NSR, and Cutest little door lady, Brian Harris. Holler at me batty boy, the hood misses you.
Service, it's about the experience. Great conversation & who doesn't like a complementary drink?
This spot takes the drinks-and-a-cut concept to the next level, w/ a 2-seat barber shop up front & behind a sliding door, a cocktail lounge decked w/ leather-cushioned wooden booths & old-school sofas Read more
Every day but Sunday: haircuts are noon to 9pm and drinks are 6pm - 4am. The sweet spot is 6pm - 9pm when you get a free cocktail with your haircut !
Old-fashioned barbershop meets vintage cocktail lounge at The Blind Barber, an East Village outpost promising hot shaves and a whole lot of hip people. Hint: try the "Sweeney Todd."
Amazing 90's rap music . Cocktails are okay. Solid crowd of late 20's early 30's on Saturday night
Not a speakeasy in the sense that it can be loud , with standing room only and music blaring to the point you are shouting. However on off nights, it's quite laid back and fun.
The bar is behind a barber shop . Check out the small room at the very end of the bar for the full old fashioned ambience
Try and book the small corner room in the back for more dancing room as the crowds can get aggressive.
Dealers Choice - the only choice. Absolutely wonderful and knowledgable bartender !
Everything you want in a speakeasy , but go after midnight because the dj doesn’t show up till 11:30
Great place for a dude to get a haircut , and they'll give you advice. Plus a drink is included.
Went at 10:30PM on a Friday. It was super small, dark, crowded and loud . The coolest part is the barbershop waiting area. Might be cool if you come earlier.
Cool concept of a speakeasy that's hidden behind a barber shop . However, drinks were only decent and the place gets extremely and uncomfortably packed past midnight.
Get the smoke + dagger and you will thank me later
