Lovely old historic plantation. Really loved a colonial event with historic costumed interpreters... imagine taking a step back in history. Let go of today's world and see life in colonial times.
Wear trail shoes if u take the short hike 2 the ruins & observation deck. Walk down in marsh@ low tide, stand still & QUIET & see little crabs come out of the holes in the ground!
Worth the drive. The mile of entry covered in live oaks is a Savannah must see
If you're near Savannah you must visit this lovely place ????
Take the guided tour at the museum . Our guide, Jacob, was excellent.
Fantastic place!
Beautiful oak lined drive. Unfortunately, that is probably the only thing worth a look. Guided tour is interesting but just not many things for them to talk about.
This place is stunning! I wish we could have come when it wasn't so hot out.
Closed on Mondays. Second trip in a row that I forgot that little tidbit...one day I'll actually get to make it past the gate!
Came at 4:00, an hour before they closed. Without tour or guide, seemed like there wasn't much past the pretty live oak drive.
Excessively long entry drive is beautiful
Be prepared to walk miles
Entrance fee is $10/person. Kind of expensive for a state park .
Exploring for us history nerds.
You drive up a beautiful oak lined drive. But dont try to take a photo without paying
