The special kitfo (ground steak tartare in seasoned butter) really is special, mixed w jalapeño = extra kick. Recommend missir (red lentils ) & gomen (collard greens ). Milka was delightful & attentive.

Serious Eats

The Veg Combo piles include beets , red lentils , yellow split peas , cabbage , gomen (collards cooked with garlic and onion ) and shiro (ground and spiced chickpeas ) sitting atop injera (flatbread ).

The Timatim fitful appetizer is one of the best I've tasted. The injera is perfectly tart , spongy and moist. The spicing is really good too. The interiors have been rebranded and redone. Very nice!!!

Fantastic food, cool vibe. You must be patient, though. Service is extremely slow, and the bar in the front isn't an actual bar (you can't order drinks there). But once you're seated, it's delish!

Nicole Solomon

Good food and good service , in my experience. Don't know what people are complaining about there, maybe it got better? The vegetable combo is great, as is the avocado salad appetizer . Nice spot.

Laura Noren

Vegetarian combo is more varied than any other Ethiopian place I've been (and I've been at most of the Ethiopian restaurants in the city ).

The Broken Windows Theory for restaurants does *not* apply. despite usually being full of open tables, the food is really awesome, especially the veggie combo w/Ethiopian flat bread and Awash Chicken .

miles lennon

Traditional Ethiopian meal with the spongy sourdough flatbread and spiced meat and vegetable dishes to combine

Serious Eats

Among the city 's better Ethiopian restaurants . Vegetables are great here, but the tartare is our favorite.

service is efficient, atmosphere is perfect, the food in incredible, one of my favorite spots in brooklyn. and try the st. george lager .

simhskal

Their platter with all the veggies is great! A little pricey but great place for dinner once a while

Ruta Ziukaite

Great service and delicious Ethiopian food . My boyfriend and I shared the combo for 2 and loved it!

Brendan Aanes

Very very tasty, the tibs and chicken are all perfectly spiced and savory.

EM H.

Friendly service , delicious food (vegan ) and beer , and cozy atmosphere !

suyog mody

Meat platter is our usual. Brooklyn location is better than other two. Pick up chocolate cake from chocolate room after.

suyog mody

Same menu and great food quality as the one in the village . Get seating near the front - lot more intimate .

Food was decent... The vegetables were a little salty though so if you have blood pressure issues I'd be careful if i was you. Honey wine is like most regular white wines so if u looking for sweet -no

Andrew Shults

Service seems to have improved as of late. Portions are quite large on the platters, especially if you get an appetizer (the avocado salad is pretty awesome).

Stan Tran

Get the vegan platter - I’d eat it every day if I could!

Christian Lawson

Oh yes, the veg combo is rocking! Try everything! I can't stop -)

Artur Benchimol

Good food. Friendly staff . Laid back vibe.

Valerie S

Delicious vegan and vegetarian options

Dave Fisher

Vegan platter is crazy good

Rahul Sabnis

Yes, even though it looks closed from the outside, they're open. Food is better than the decor and lax service.

Vivian Chen

Complete remodel. Wow! Super hip now!

Kelley O. Williams

Great food, but super stingy on the injera ! What's that about?

Linda Yoon

What a fabulous place in Brooklyn.

Alexandra Signoriello

Solid food great service

Jordan Gillard

Mushroom Tibs holy hell that was amazing

Henry Yuan

Food is very flavorful and it was a pretty fun eating experience but, as people had already mentioned, the service is lacking.

Anthony Rallo

Light switch for the bathroom is on the outside!

Chris Kurtz

Great food, horrible service.
