The brisket has a lot of variation . I've had some of the best brisket ever and just mediocre. But you can never go wrong with the beef ribs - best beef ribs I've had. The house sauce is amazing.
Pork chop is ridiculously good. Each one weighs over a pound. Jalapeño mac-and-cheese is yum/spicy. Pinto beans, pickles/onions, and white bread included free with food purchase. Highly recommended!
Really enjoyed the pecan cobbler . The complimentary beams were also really good. The meat was a bit on the salty side.
Brisket . Turkey . Spare ribs . Sausage . Pickles . Everything. It is all so good. It’s not cheap . But sooooo good.
The brisket , jalapeño bacon mac & cheese , and cole slaw were total stand outs and so incredibly good! Also enjoyed the beef ribs and sausage .
Yummy! Know what you want to order by the time you get to the front of the line . Spiced pinto beans and sandwich bread are available for free after you check out.
Cafeteria style serving, cut and weigh style. All meats available by the lb or half. Try a bit of everything it's all great! We enjoyed the brisket a lot, and sadly missed out on the cobbler !
This is by far the best BBQ in downtown Austin. Excellent food, great beer selection , nice service.
Brisket was melt in your mouth. Had pork ribs and jalapeño sausage too - both were delicious. Some of the best barbecue I've had.
It's cafeteria style . They weigh your meat and wrap it up. They have pre-packaged sides and a good salad . The bbq sauce was thin and vinergary. They give you a piece of waved paper to eat off of.
Delicious brisket and corn on cobb, great local beer selection , fair price . Nice atmosphere, just get in line and enjoy!
Brisket is tender & delish. Meat itself isn’t salty, but the rub is, try to avoid an end-piece. BBQ sauce is vinegar-based, ask for it on the side. Coleslaw compliments it but is otherwise uneventful.
Brisket and Ribs epic. Make sure to not over order and enjoy all the sides.
The brisket was melt in your mouth amazing!! The potato salad and green beans were a great compliment to the meat.
Lord!!! This is an amazing place for brisket and beef ribs !!! And friendly staff .
Beef short rib is worth coming back for, and not too big for one person. Didn’t love brisket , spare rib , slaw .
Chicken is awesome! Brisket is ok. Sides are ok. Nice seating area in the back so you can sit “outside”.
Not the best BBQ in Austin, but if your time and options are limited, give it a shot. Weird set-up with the bar , but the line moves fast and seating opens up quickly.
Go for the brisket and beef ribs ! Pork ribs were okay. Mac n cheese with jalapeño and bacon is the best side.
Beef rib is best BBQ I've had in Austin so far. Brisket good. Grilled corn cob delicious too.
Not the absolute best, but always solid and delicious. Especially the burnt ends and pork ribs .
Free beans in the condiment buffet . BBQ done right, 'nuff said.
Brisket , ribs , jalapeño bacon mac n cheese !
Get at least one beef rib . Jalapeño mac and cheese has a nice kick to it.
Definitely get the turkey . It's the best turkey I've ever had.
Lots of meats. All lacking in flavor and tenderness.
Great new location! Spacious and just as delicious as the original.
Amazing barbecue and sides. Don’t forget the cobbler !
Excellent wait time and ample table space for huge groups.
The meat was all very juicy and tender but very salty. Excellent friendly service from all who worked there.
Good food. A bit overpriced (I guess you can Say it's just more "dangerous" than overpriced, in that you could spend a lot of money here very easily if you aren't mindful of your order. )
Beware: cutters are highly inaccurate: ask for a half pound you may end up with a third or three quarters of a pound.
Beef ribs are very good but better value for your money with the brisket
The ribs are the best in the city . Potato salad is delicious.
One of the best places around for a bbq or a cold beer !!!
Chicken was tender and juicy!
Sausage , ribs and brisket . Cold beer !
Outstanding brisket . Really good Mac and cheese .
Meat Heaven! Best chicken ever!
Love the great BBQ here and the atmosphere
I first saw this place on the Mystery Diners episode. It seemed fake. But the bbq was good, but they are kinda out of their element for traditional Austin BBQ .
Try the Cabrito.
Chicken and Mac and cheese
Great food!!
Ribs , brisket , everything
The brisket was kind of salty and the Mac n Cheese was runny.
Meat by the pound.. LOVE IT!
Those beef ribs . Son, those beef ribs .
Amazing meat selection!
brisket and beef ribs . holy mother of beef .
The minor plate is more than enough food. You can't go wrong with the ribs and pulled pork. - karen bonna rainert
It's well worth the wait. We arrived at 8:30 on a Friday, and about 50 people were already in line. Get the brisket, and the sausage is pretty solid. The sides are fantastic in their own right! Enjoy! - Nicole McAfee
Get the beef rib if they haven't run out. Just one is enough to share with 2 friends. The brisket is solid, too. - Doug Baer
It was amazing to see. There is information about the bats along the north east side of the hiking trail. The crowd thins out after the first few minutes. The bats keep coming for about 20 minutes. - Millie Johnson
The rotunda is stunning. I basically was able to just walk in after going through really quick security. The whole place was welcoming and beautiful! - Jackie Mann
