As a vegetarian , the slabs of meat featured in the window caused me to walk by this place for the first year that I lived Down the block.-wrong!Amazing assortment of market greens, cheese , soup , wine
Lasagna was great but their gnocchi was above average. Try the semifreddo and the chocolate pudding- amazing! Service was great and has a nice spot to sit outside and watch people
Cesare Casella's small plates parlor is a great place for a few bites of premium imported antipasti and a glass of wine , or a larger meal of more substantial meat and pasta dishes. [Eater 38 Member] Read more
Everything was amazing...Issa the manager was a perfect host and made the experience all that much better. Tiffany the bartender was great as was our server. All in all a 10!
Great little gem on the UWS. The portions are plentiful and the food is authentic . I recommend their Lasagna & Rigatoni Bolognese . Do leave room for dessert , Torta di Ricotta & Tiramisu are fantastic
Everything is so good here. Get the meat and cheese to start things off. Then perhaps one of the lasagna . Or maybe the gnocci or pesto . Can't go wrong.
Great spot to grab a bite before a show at beacon theater . Everything was delicious!

Make your Italian dad happy by bringing him here. Lasagna , meatballs , fish , butternut squash soup , brussels sprouts - all delicious. Service- just okay, but excusable.
#FabuLIST #DubiDO caprese salad and prosciutto w/ eggplant . Loved the Music here too!! #DubiDONT mussels were very good quality but doesn't compare to Flex Mussels . Spare ribs too salty.
Back corner seating is perfect if you have a baby. Lots of space to spread out considering how small the restaurant is.
The toque offers assaggi like a rich lasagna al forno . But the namesake artisanal meats are probably the best reason to visit (try the prosciutto and mortadella ). -TimeOut
Salumi sampler is generously sized and delicious! Don't think you can go wrong with anything in the menu except for the cheese plate , which was mediocre at best.

Salumi plate is a great value - tons of different meats, but would pass on the cheese plate .
Burrata and the tapioca dessert are delicious. Portions are tapaz sized (on the smaller side)
The salumi and charcuterie selections are a real highlight, and you can't go wrong with most of the small plates .
Every meal I've had here has been outstanding. Chef Cesare Casella is a true Italian culinary master.

The meat tray was very hit or miss, the lasagna was meh, the amatriciana and farro were awesome. The minestrone and verdura was great
One of the best, most authentic Italian places in the city (seriously). Sample the salumi (love the Prosciutto San Daniele). The rigatoni w/ 9 meats made me cry. And the Pinot Noir is delish.
Gnocchi , salumi platter and lasagna were great
Had an amazing lunch . Andrew is great. Looking forward to going back soon.
Everything wonderful! Staff food. Love small plates delicious!
The most amazing selection of Italian cured meats in NYC. This place is a perfect first date spot to share some wine and small plates of deliciousness.
They brought various salumi and bread to Choice Eats- you know it was tasty since it stood out among all the elaborate dishes! Can't beat that age old combo.
Great find for dinner before a Lincoln Center show, but be sure to make a reservation and leave yourself time to walk down.
the gnocchi is rich, and to die for. some of the best I've had outside of Italy.
The plates are small so don't hesitate to order a few items. We recommend the prosciutto di parma , caponata, and costina .
Great environment, friendly service and the food was great! Like proper italy ;)
Must get the cured meat platter . Just like Tuscany .
SUPER flavorful mozzarella . Great sausage . Adding to favs!
incredibly awesome meats and cheeses ! the rest of the me is good, but not great. also nice wine selection .
Costina on Food Network’s Best Thing I Ever Ate. Costina is spicy Tuscan spare ribs not bbq but explosion of flavor
Good spot for a family dinner - share dishes and a bottle of red wine .
if you order cold cuts .. don´t forget to ask for the finochiona... best dishes: tuscan rib , pork belly , caponata, and the pasta with 9 meats... all of them amazing...
The food is great here. I come often for my prosciutto and salami fix. But the service has gotten so bad and slow.
Buy some salami , cheese (suggest the gorgonzola ) and some wine a few doors down (pour) and head to central for a picnic .
It was a good meat plate, in retrospect; and the atmosphere made it feel like Christmas in Nana's second home all over again.
tue best place for a glass of wine and a delicious Italian prosciutto
I've been living on the UWS for 4 years and its my fav place. I recommend all the salads , manzo, fish , verdura & mostly - pasta (always perfectly cooked). House wine is excellent!
Absolutely superb food. Must have the selections of meats and cheeses to start.
All cured meats are fantastic!!
Cool selection of meat and cheese
Best lasagna outside Bologna
Best Italian table in the neighbourhood
The rubirosa eggs for brunch, meatball eggs Benedict style dish, is awesome! - Drew Austin
First time dining at the new location: we liked the new space. The food is still top-notch (grilled turbot was fantastic). Watch-out for the “beautiful & rich crowd” on week-ends. - Renaud #
Always full and worth the wait. The food is exquisite and a steal at the price. Try the penne with fresh buffalo mozzarella. Bring some cash as they don't take cards. - Yuriy Rusko
