Get there before 8am for easy parking . Only the first quarter mile or so is steep. Take pictures around the first bend for the best panormas
If you come here regularly, annual parking passes are available online for $100. Much easier than making sure you have exactly $3 each time or fighting for spots in the neighborhood .
Easy - Moderate hike . Very refreshing breeze and wonderful views at the top. Approx a 3 mile loop. Lots of dogs!
Great hiking trail , excellent Runyon alternative if you're trying to avoid the crowds.
Bring $3 cash to park , but be nice and hand off your pass to someone pulling in as you're leaving. Be prepared to wait a bit to get parked if your there during the popular hours of the day.
It's In the backyard . Great for a hike , Walk or run with the dogs. Love going there.

Lots of deer on this hike . Steep uphill walking in the beginning. Doing the loop takes about an hour.
Parts of the hike are shaded and parts are HOT! Bring sunscreen...or a hat. So much less crowded than Runyon
Parking fee has changed more times than I can count... But if you drive a bit up Fryman Road , you'll clearly see where the permit parking ends--and you can park in the residential area.

Park on Laurel Canyon to avoid a $3 parking fee . You can also park up the hill @ Tree People (Mulholland and Coldwater Cyn)
start at the top-it's far less crowded and much more adventurous. go up laurel and take a right on mullholand. go about a mile down and look on the right for a park entrance

Keep to the side while on Fryman Rd because the cars do have the rt of way. Be esp careful for your dogs if ong leash :)

Give people on the uphill the right of way and be prepared for poo smell in the summer from horses and dogs

This is a hidden gem in LA, right at the top of Coldwater Canyon and Mulholland. There are some really cool trails and a spot with picnic tables, that you could bring lunch or a coffee and hang out. - Anthony Requia
