Real food, genuine familiar atmosphere, shared table, good beer . A joy !!! The steak pie was excellent and my kid loved the bread pudding . Average burger . Avg pub prices. I will return.

Pub itself is ok but moody staff and crap food - think Iceland frozen burgers and chips and you wouldn't be far off the quality.

nasty, rude staff . told to leave as we "weren't drinking enough". I was the only one with water - with a bottle-worth of wine ! never going back, recommend you don't support this greedy owner.

Really rude and grumpy landlord even if you are spending shedloads of cash in his pub . Avoid like the plague. Try the Marquis Cornwallis just down the road .
