The restaurant that chefs visit in Paris. Wonderful food. Try the beef cheek , calamari stuffed with rice , steak , or cochon de lait braise. Tip: if you don't want to wait go at an awkward time like 4.

Ahmed Sabbour

I absolutely enjoyed this meal. We had the lamb shank and octopus couscous . It is really crowded , so call them for a booking preferably. We skimmed in for lunch without a booking but we were lucky.

James Monaghan

Three words: cochon au lait . Amazing suckling pig on a bed of lentils , absolutely exploding with flavour. Vegetable salad to start is a good option, although the specials are solid too.

Joanne Wan

The stuffed calamari with orzo and squid ink is the best squid I've ever had in my life. Be sure to order it to experience the most tender yet flavorful squid ever.

sebastian

Had to spend some time outside waiting for a table to get available. But it was worth it. The food, the ambiance, everything was great. Strongly recommended.

Romy Alyssa Madison

Everything was stunning and delicious. Great French cuisine . Amazing carte des vins. It s expensive for the service you get. Waitresses can't manage many customers. You need to line to get there.

Adam Rowe

Yves Camdeborde’s beloved bistro , once neo and now classic. Book months in advance for weeknight, no-choice dinner , or just queue up at lunch or weekends for the so-called “brasserie menu”.

Great food just a block away from Luxembourg gardens . Get the terrine , croque , and whatever seafood/fish specials they have - you really can't go wrong.

Dan E

Can’t go wrong. Get wine by the carafe (go full litre) and order with emphasis on meat. And don’t forget the œufs mayonnaise .

Richmond Y

awesome bistro if you can get a seat. we went for "linner" and had 3 things: oeuf mayonnaise , duck terrine confit w/ foie gras , and Niçoise salad

T S

Great entrees, good wine selection , but watch out for your mains (we misread ours and got something we didn’t want). Super crowded another don’t take bookings .

Varun Shetty

A sandwich worthy of the name Monsieur. While peasants overburden their sandwiches with too much cheese , Le Comptoir finely toasts their bread , adds just enough creamy cheese and hits the spot.

Chris B Villasenor

The escargots are delicious, tried the Niçoise salad . Really good experience. A bit on the pricey side but nonetheless worth it.

Chloe Ma

Recommended by anthony bourdain . famous dishes include Salade nicoise , Foie Gras & Toast de Pain, and beef cheek . You should order their Apple Tart as dessert , you won't regret it

okimiko

Classic high quality Parisian brasserie with great service in a crowdy and touristy part of town .

Sparkie

During the week they take reservations pricey tasting menu , but on the weekends (starting Friday at lunch ), they don't take reservations . Refined cafe/bistro fare, and is a pretty good value .

There is a reason why this is the toughest table right now in Paris: the food is exquisite. Brilliant for lunch and wonderful for dinner , the food is simple and sublime. (4 of 4 petals via Fondu) Read more

Yves is our favourite chef in Paris! In addition of being the "father of bistronomy" (bistro/gastronomy) he is adorable and is as generous as its cuisine. Brasserie for lunch and gastro for dinner .

hinyan wong

Come at just before 12:00 for lunch and get a table you want. Otherwise you'll be waiting on the street. Lobster bisque is good.

Sara Joy

"this is a quintessential Parisian experience with wonderful classics, charcuterie and my personal favourite, the Brandade Gratinée (a popular dish with salted cod )."

Had to try the Cochin du Lait, was very good. Scallop salad was amazing. Sat outside, steady line throughout the afternoon.

Samir Gole

The calamari is great! I don't speak much French so wasn't sure what I was getting into but was pleasantly surprised to see it come stuffed with risotto . Delicious.

Lisa Wiedmeyer

Love love love the bone marrow ! So worth it! To say everything was amazing is an understatement. Best meal in Paris!

Raul Valle

Amazing food. Overall meats are very good but daube is a must have. Go there for early dinner (~7pm) to avoid long lines .

Polichka

Excellent excellent excellent. Everything. From wine to food.

richard kashida

Suckling pig w lentils ... Also ask for butter with your bread . It comes marbled and tastes great.

Lindsey Kim

Classic french food done very well . Portions are huge. Bone marrow was exquisite.

Pilar Mora

The cochon de lait melts in your mouth! You have to order it.

Rob Nguyen

Great food and atmosphere. Generously portioned cheese assortment . Try to arrive before 6 to beat the rush.

Try the Carre D'agneau Roti - rack of lamb with some suuuuper sweet peppers ! after a 2 hr wait (YES, 2 HOURS!) i think everyone had a great meal...superior ingredients wins again

Mike Kalen

Fois' gras selection is excellent. Excellent good at reasonable prices. Traditional French but accommodating to Americans.

Mariana Rodrigues

Menu for dinner was amazing, it finishes with a huge assortment of cheese and dessert

Ali Daylan

I tried the beef cheeks and loved it. Service is fast enough but don't expect friendliness. Not spacious at all. You should finish with a desert and espresso . A little overpriced.

Paul Farrell

Bizarre service, but amazing food. Suckling pig , beef cheek , salad nicoise and foie gras

Ayshea H

Try daube de joue de bœuf , and remember to leave room for desert '

Tom Moore

The only meal we had in France where we felt like we were rushed and food mediocre. Go around the corner to their wine and tapas bars which are amazing.

New York Habitat

Bistro atmosphere, top class food, and a great wine list . Hard to get a table because of no reservations so come early!

Kasia

Super tasty food and great for people watching ! Try brain veal carpaccio ????????

Eveline R

Great small french Restaurant . Good service and amazing food. Be sure to try that one!!

Trevor Rogers

A really great lunch menu and not too long of a wait if you sneak up on a week day.

Shola Amusa

The best restaurant meal I've ever had. In a large square full of restaurants it was the only one with a line of people waiting to get in!

Ashleigh Gardner

The line goes fast and the smoked salmon croque monsieur is worth the wait.

R ????

Good hearty French fares. The Cochon Au lait and escargots were my favorite. On the pricy side though.

Jan P

Amazing food at a range of prices and good service . The bone marrow appetizer is a must.

Iris Ng

Coffee creme brûlée was nice with rich coffee flavor . Starters we had were good, but plats were mediocre. Waiter was a bit rude and elbowed us while putting down food without apologizing.

Spencer Schoeben

a little overpriced for the wine . the sandwich was amazing
