The best display of a Calder mobile i've seen in years - in a stairwell, two light sources: you get to see the shadow effects he is brilliant with & you can view it from different height hand angles!
Apart from the great collection, they always have great activities and attractions for children. My 9-year old daughter loves this place!
Best art gallery in DC, it's just shame some of the finest paintings in collection can't be photographed (for us from the other side of ocean whose memory of it will unavoidable fade with time).
Great collection, small enough to see everything. Was glad that it was free on weekdays, so had a delicious lunch in the cafe
Located near Dupont Circle in a neighborhood , this modern art museum is an oasis away from the crowds on the Mall . You can enjoy the fine selection of art without feeling rushed.
Wonderful gallery in Dupont. America's oldest museum of modern art . You'll be able to get through the whole collection in a few hours.
Duncan Phillips and wife Marjorie turned this Georgian Revival Mansion into a stunning museum . This collection features breathtaking works by Van Gogh, Matisese, Monet, Picasso, Renoir , etc.
Amazing collection. So much to see, and I appreciate that there aren’t hoards of children since this is not a free Smithsonian.
There is some truly outstanding artwork here. The Queen of England's portrait is well worth a sit and a ponder.
