Take the monorail if you are trying to get to the MK quicker. May look like less of a hassle, but its not.
It appears that sometimes the Disney Ferry Boats only take guests to the Magic Kingdom but don't bring them back to the TTC.
Make sure to bring the bug spray at night. Yikes!
