Lockhart burger is a MUST! The special with beer battered shallots is also tasty. The custards are smooth, creamy and delicious. The fries are perfection- crispy on the outside soft inside.

I worked across from the original in New York, and the Lockhart link burger is an upgrade. That's really saying something. Wash it down with a cider !

Only in Austin—you gotta order the Lockhart Link Burger : cheeseburger topped with a Kreuz Market jalapeño cheese sausage link , ShakeSauce and pickles . It's amazeballs good!

The shack stack is ridiculously good. Be prepared for exploding cheese though. The shoestring fries are super good too. And, of course, the shakes are a must have. Try their weekly flavors!

Excellent burgers , the buns and the meat are outstanding. The prices are a bit on the steep side, the burgers come without fries which should be a no no at any burger joint .

The Smokeshack is my “go to,” but I have to say that the cheese fries are a must for anyone that comes through here!

Maybe it's petty, but it's half the equation-- I don't dig the fries so I find a fast casual that does a comparable burger with decent fries . Guys, reconsider your fries .

The Lockhart burger is really good. A little bit pricey for a burger with no fries though. Shakes are good too.

Burgers are great! A bit small in size but flavorful. Before you leave try out one of their shakes .

Cheese fries were very basic. Only fries or portobello burger if you're vegetarian & no salads . Shake sauce was very mayonnaise-y.

I am sorry but why this place is popular? The burger is ok but not better than in-n-out. But the price more than double. The lemonade is the worst we tried so far. Taste like herbal medicine.
