Gorgeous! Get there early as the tours start arriving around 9am (it opens at 8am). The side entrance (near the museum ) is much less busy than the main entrance.

Worth going at sunset - it feels a lot cooler up there at that time of day in the summer and it's truly wonderful to watch the sun sink down over Athens from this view point.

Save a min of 2 hours 4 this sight. U need 2 b ready wz appropriate shoes as lots of areas are slippery & u will walk up & down z entire visit. Great view from top so be ready for loads of selfies.
Absolutely immense experience to go up the Acropolis to see this. Get there 20mins before opening to be at the start of the queue and to get a few minutes there without any people
Visit at the end of the day, it is less crowded and you can get amazing pics without people. During winter time ticket is half price.
There’s a lot to see here both on top of and around the acropolis. You’ll need to double back a few times but be sure to see it all. Watch you’re step! Very uneven terrain - wear decent shoes !
Marble can get very slick, the hike up is not as bad as it seems, scaffolding has been up forever, check out museum next door, don't try to walk the old mine cart tracks down!

It’s an important world heritage place full of history. I recommend you go in the very first hours in the morning (6am) to avoid crowds.

For wheelchair users: You will struggle a bit to get to the entrance (the ramp is quite steep) but once you get in, there is a platform / elevator so that you can get to the top of the Acropolis.
Athena's Temple , this is a beautiful landmark . It is free for students and it has a wonderful view . The structure itself is amazing and you feel like and ancient Greek . Also, very spiritual.

Take water and go to the toilet at the ticket office area - no facilities once you’re through the entrance barriers. Signage explaining Greek myth is poor (instead lots about restoration works)

I highly recommend seeing these rocks that are deliberately piled on top of a very large rock. They resemble very old buildings !
During the weekends it's close from 3 PM. Be careful and plan your visit considering this ;) From Monday to Friday it's open from 8 AM to 8 PM.
