Erechtheion

This structure is beautiful in every direction. East side dedicated for Athena while west side is for Poseidon .

The Erechtheion was built from 420-406 BC at the most holy site of the Acropolis, where goddess Athena planted the olive tree , her sacred symbol!

A building in the Ionic style, constructed between 421 and 405 BC. It took its name from a shrine dedicated to the legendary Greek hero Erichthonius.

Entrance gate to Acropolis, so nicely built. Very impressive architecture . Avoid shiny/slippery marble stones around.
