The roasted chicken breast stuffed with haggis is mind blowing. The penne pasta with veggies is also very good and the portions are perfecto! The service was great- fast and friendly .
This is the restaurant in the National Gallery and while it is a "museum restaurant " it was better than I was expecting. Plus the view of the town out the big picture windows is quite nice.
Was the perfect place to have afternoon tea for 2 after seeing all the Art . Staff was fab, attentive and sweet.
We came for a coffee and dessert . The place smells like fish market and the coffee was worse than my instant coffee and don't let me start with the pineapple cake !
A placid place where to have a bite or a drink while enjoying the view of Princess Street Gardens , people passing by, etc.
The food is great. So are the drinks, and the service. Just go here :)
Delicious fish and chips , but watch out for oil dripping off the board (hot!) - my kingdom for a plate.
A delightful coffee or lunch can be found in this brilliant Valvona & Crolla run restaurant within the gallery Read more
Get the porridge with the berry compote and honey . Perfect for a cold day
Try out the first thing on the menu, the Leek soup with Spinach , Rapeseed oil and Goat 's Cheese . Delish.
"Profanity Stout " is a great Scottish beer , chapeau pour Peter and Graig...
Good view and produce. A bit pretentious though and not good value . Staff not hugely attentive either.
You get a piece of tablet with every hot drink - it's the most delicious tablet in the world!
Cheese board is great
Delicious food and cofe. And the staff very Good!
Good food, nice cafe / restaurant worth a visit.
Free wifi & good spot to relax before catching your train
Try the bacon roll: Crisp bun , plenty of butter and perfectly cooked, tasty pigness ! ★★★★★
Nice place to sit and have tea and cake but the service is poor. Quite moody staff considering they have nice customers and a great view .
The Buttery with marmalade looks yummy. Coffee is as strong and wonderful as at @centotre
Had a fantastic lunch !
Beware, the Ceylon Orange Pekoe tea came with its own slice of orange !
Cream teas !
Rather liking the view and jazzy music :)
Free WiFi and good tea
Wow, the coffee actually tastes like rust. Over expensive rust too. Give it a miss, food looks okay.
Service is terrible!!!!!!!
Very tasty cheese and nice bottles of local craft beer! - James Williams
Nice atmosphere, super friendly staff, good size coffee :) cosy. - Anne Israel
Coffee here (espresso and pour over) is excellent. They have best beans in Edinburgh. Mornings are nice and quiet :) - Gordon Anderson
Good selection of non Scottish and great Scottish works. Intimate and lively way to spend a couple of hours. Staff a little past sell by date. - Bijan Young
Great views, good layout, great display of the history and culture, I liked exploring - Candice Rivera
Beautiful scenic gardens in the heart of the city with great views of the castle. - Katie Farquhar
