Beautiful zoo , easily a full day visit. Most of the enclosures are the open type, which is nice. Try to not miss the feeding times. The restaurant and café areas are great too.
As a zoo lover, i love this one. Animals have very large spaces and you can see them closely. Feeding times are further interesting. Polar bear must not be missed.
Best zoo in Europe! Lovely children's zoo too, where you can feed the lamb and goats . Don't miss it. One big minus though now that the amazing Bao Bao has sadly passed away: we need a new panda soon!
his zoo is the oldest zoo in Europe and the most visited, as well . It is very beautiful and big, they take in a lot of kinds of animals; the aquarium and the canivore's house are special places.
Best Zoo ever! Small and easy to walk in a couple of hours, and the animals often seem to live in a very natural environment (ok still a prison , don't get angry with me). The aquarium is also nice!
One of the best bits of our trip to Berlin! Well worth it even if you’ve been to other major zoos before. You can easily spend half a day (or more!).
Super ! We were lucky - it was not very hot day - we saw all the animals - they are cool! The Zoo is chic !
Children play zone is amazing, nice surrounding, fantastic collection. Really worth spending all day there. Animals are nicely highlighted, especially hippos and sea lions. Sadly giant panda died.
Go in the spring and you will be transported into a children's book full of happy animals. The zoo architecture is very cute & classic as well .
Especially for kids a cool&funny event . Don't miss the daily animal feeding hours a couple times a day. Ask for the time-table at the entrance gate. Children under 2 are free????
Amazing! Great place for children and their parents! Do not forget to stock up a bottle of water because there is the only one restaurant at the Zoo territory.
A great park with a lot of different animals. The most fun you can have with the monkeys
A great day out! Highly recommend! Spent a good 4 hours here, recommend going in at lunchtime as you see a lot of animals getting fed!
One of my favorite sights in Berlin. Many of its inhabitants were born in the zoo (usually a sign of well-adapted animals). Don't miss the feeding times!
A nice zoo overall. Felt really sad for the lion, pacing mindlessly back and forth with people 2 meters away screaming. That cage and situation is cruel to the animal.
Huuge zoo park !! Be sure to have plenty of time when visiting. overall an amazing park with LOTS of different, exciting animals from the whole world in beautiful garden surroundings.
One of my favorite places was where you can feed sobre farm animals. It is very cool! The aquarium is also amazing, don't miss it.
One of the most beautiful zoos I’ve been to. Pretty much a botanical garden . The animal enclosures are mostly open so you can see them up close.
Best thing to do with kids in Berlin. Very different vibe here compared to Communist Tierpark in East Berlin. Zoo is a lot more urban
Best day in Berlin was when we visited the zoo . You will need about 3 hours to see all the animals.. bring your snacks with you!
Everything is great. Make sure to see some of the feedings to the animals. The seal feeding was very entertaining.
Don't forget to buy a ticket for the Aquarium as well - even if you're not into fish , there are other animals which you don't see every day. I was amazed.
knut's mom is here! also, you get to stand really close to the animals (as for every zoo , if you can check the feeding schedule, it's fun to see a lion devouring a huge piece of meat)
Fantastic place in the middle of Berlin with nicely planned, green and welcoming park . Kids loved it. Aquarium is a must!
A lot of different animals and zones, "contact zoo " with little sheep and ponies. We were here in the winter, so most of the animals were in aviaries.
The best zoo I've been to. Not for its scale or the numourous animals it holds, but the aesthetics and ethics I can learn from the experience. Truely built not just for the sake of people but animals.
Berlin Zoo has announced the birth of its first rusty-spotted cat kittens in its 168 year history. Click like if you think these rare kittens are super cute ! Read more
This amazing zoo is home to the widest collection of species in the world (more than 15,000). This place is also home to more than 1,600 animals. Don't miss The Aquarium and the adorable Giant Panda !
Very well maintained zoo ! Even for a chilly day, most of the animals were out and active - always love the 'eisbaren'!
A beautiful, scenic and peaceful place to be! Excellent for long walks as well .
Very interesting .. Good for families .. So many animals to see !!
Very beautiful and 'clean' park . However it feels like most of the animals are somewhat hidden behind bushes or trees . But nevertheless worth a visit. Absolutely.
Huge and an amazing view - first time to see animals this close- and must visit the aquarium aswell- a good day activity
Wow!!! What a zoo !! You will be surprised on how BIG this place is. More than 15k animals, wonderful attractions and the acquarium is simply amazing.
Great zoo in a nice area and you can get a combo ticket for the aquarium which is amazing ????
Make sure to take a map,too easy to lose your heading. Nice zoo in summer, still nice in fall, but some animals have poor accommodation inside, while outside would be nice enough.
One of the best Zoos in Europe. Looks for elephants, pandas , monkeys and a wide variety of birds.
Fantastic zoo in the city with wonderful habitats. A great way to spend part of your day in Berlin.
Housing conditions vary greatly, some animals have great enclosures , whereas others live in small cages. But overall, a great zoo !
The kids and me had great fun in the zoo and the aquarium . They have tickets for small families: 1 parent w.kids, value for your money!
I love this zoo . Don't miss the hippos or the nocturnal house!
Great zoo , just be sure to have the whole day free- it will take you hours to walk through the whole zoo .
Well kept, relaxed, a very nice park with lots of large trees .
Amazing zoo , really well laid out and lots to see. If you have the Berlin Welcome Card you get 25% off per person.
You can go along the outside and see a lot of the animals for free
Must see them all. Lively zoo un heart of the city . Very expensive cafe inside.
Love this place, many species, but the real thing is the atmosphere of the park . Worth a visit
It looks nice and kids enjoyed feeding farm animals a lot. But, too many sections were off limits including birds (flew), pandas (redecorating)... It looks almost deserted . Wasn't value for money ????
If you're lucky the outside penguins (when you come from the beavers' compound) will let you pet them. / Manchmal lassen sich die Pinguine draußen (auf der Biberseite) streicheln.
A big garden that has almost every kind of animals .some cages are really small for them. U shoud pay 15€ per person and if u want to visit aquarium pay more
Really liked this aquarium. I thought it'd be smaller, but it was a good 90-minutes visit. Wonderful to combine it with a day trip to the zoo. - Ruth Madrigal
Animals look well looked after. Lots of animals you don't see in other Zoo's! - Jamie Lea Williams
The latest and greatest exhibit in Berlin Zoo. Modern and very nicely done. Beats the Panda exhibit in San Diego by a mile! - Claus Wolf
Huge park area with lots of happy animals. Spend an entire day to get the full experience. - Robert Höhne
Best for bike riding and enjoying the open space. Rent a bike!! - Jonathon Lau
Great variety of antique and food stands if get hungry after shopping. The classic karaoke in the amphitheater will certainly keep you entertained. - Fabiane Mariano
cool place with unique and interesting shops! was so impressed by Jacks' beauty department pop up store. it's real gem for girls ) - Anna Peskova
Eat here when looking for healthier options in a calmer environment. For families with kids go to the Waldschänke restaurant which serves more kids meals and is next to the playground. - MJ
The Harrod's of Berlin is all about the food hall. A respectable currywurst with a great view of the city and some amazing snacks and treats to ogle. - Josh Labove
