Former airport turned into recreation park . Huge outdoor space that is used for picnics , running, biking , rollerblading , kite skating etc. Absolutely love it. Must see in Berlin.

Great and open park for biking , running, etc. Location is cool as much of the airport infrastructure is still in place. Almost no shade or shelter so be careful on hot or rainy days.

An enormous open space in the middle of a big city . Walk, play, run, picnic , BBQ on the former runways of an airport . One of my favourite spots in Berlin.

I love it here, it's so big and so many different activities going on but you can still just lie down on the green gras and have some alone time.

If the weather's nice then this is a great place to go. It's a big field (previously an airport ) where people go to sit on the grass, bike around, rollerskate . You can loan a bike/etc there too.

This is a "park " quite popular amongst Berliners and tourists . Apart from the fact, that you can walk/hike/bike on the former airfield and tarmac, the attraction of this crappy meadow is beyond me.

On a sunny day, grab a friend and rent a pair of rollerblades or go karts and take to the runways!!!! Great fun way to exercise!

I can't express how much I love the place, just crossing it by bike make you feel you are entering a parallel world with infinite space around you.

Really really huge park/field. Grab a bike and see a garden , tracks for training , and people just lounging . There's an entrance from the north and from the east.

An old airport , the perfect place to grab a beer with friends. Bring you bike , it's so lovely to bike around the old runways .

Perfect place to ride a bike . Long run way seems short but takes almost 10 minutes to get behind. Perfect just before dusk. Be careful about opening hours.

Picnics next to abandoned runways that everyone longboards down is maybe the pinnacle of Hipster Berlin things and there’s nothing wrong with that m8s.
