Flughafen Berlin Tempelhof

The exterior of the former Berlin Tempelhof Airport was used in Equilibrium (2002) as the main gate, through which the Tetragrammaton Clerics pass between Libria and the Nether.

On 20 June 1948, Soviet authorities halted all traffic by land and water to and from the city 's Western Sectors. For the next 11 months, Allied Forces sustained Berlin's residents largely by air.

A nice place to go on a bicycle and chill . Ideal for a picnic .

Stunning unique experience. The massive building has a long and interesting history. Being able to walk around an empty airport , dismissed in 2008, is definitely worth the 15 EUR for the tour !

The closed down field is now a park bigger than the Central Park in New York. Here you can skate , grill, jog, fly a kite , take a dog on a walk etc .

Surreal place! Perfect to bike , walk, enjoy the sun, learn how to bike ,... There is a small shop where you can rent Segways etc.

It's not a beautiful park , but it is a cool one and I have never seen anything like it. Huge areas for relaxing.

Rent a bike or a moped to drive on the tracks . This is a good way to get an impression of the whole site if you cannot bring your own bike .

Next to this place General Helmuth Weidling, signed in the command post of Colonel-General Chuikov on Schulenburgring 2, the unconditional surrender of German troops in Berlin in May 2nd, 1945.

Enter Tempelhof at U6 Paradestaße, walk across and exit at Oderstraße and take Boddinstraße U8 back to the city centre.

Parque cheio de espaço e com o melhor por do sol de Berlim. Vale muito a pena pra fazer piquenique , esportes e passeios. Só é bom evitar os horários em que o sol está muito forte.
