Tempelhofer Damm (Columbiadamm) 10965 Berlin Germany
Since closing down in 2008 Tempelhofer Feld now attracts many people as a place to enjoy the odd atmosphere of once a busy airport . Get there with the U6 ( Tempelhof) and bring your bike with you!
One of my favourite places in Berlin. Bring a beer , a book , a grill, a bike , a blanket, a kite, inline skates , running shoes or anything really, and enjoy the green emptiness in the heart of the city
If, like me, you're an out-of-towner it might be wise the check up where the entrances are beforehand, as it can be a long walk between them. Really cool place once you get inside, don't miss it!
Berlin Festival 2013 - taking place at Tempelhofer Park, the site of former Flughafen Tempelhof, now abandoned and used by locals for running, cycling, skating , kite flying and more!!
Just amazing huge park , a lot of people enjoying their free time with very different activities or just chilling on the lawn. One of my favorite places in Berlin.
An amazing park ! Of course Berlin takes a former airport and turns it into a park where you can bike on the old airstrips and drink beer and eat pretzels or just take a nap in any of the vast fields !
In fall 2008 the Airport Tempelhof closed. These days cyclists, street windsurfer , families and inline skaters turn the runways into their own personal playground .
Take a whole morning/afternoon/day to check out this place. Bring kite, football , bike or skates to play around.
This place is magical. Many locals (including me) grow vegetables and flowers here. Great organization & incredibly mixed community of passionate urban gardeners who help you in DIY gardening .
Go for an amazing sunset , a great sunday with a barbecue or (if you're a sporty type) go for a run across the old airport landingstrips.
The best place in Berlin. Ideal for all activities, to do picnics and to watch sunrises and sunsets . Just perfect!!
The closed airport and it buildings were the largest building on earth during the seconde world war. Now there is a park with an interesting charm out of wide space, sport and lots of creativity.
great place to skate and spend time with nice people in the sun but gets quite windy
it was converted into the largest public park in Berlin and called “Tempelhofer Feld”. It is now used for all sorts of fairs and events : the Bread & Butter...http://bit.ly/RrwwWQ
If you are not able to bring your own bike you can rent bikes , segways, streetsteppers, go carts, nordic skates etc. near the entrance S/U Tempelhof.
Lots of sun, but feels like this space needs more of a use. Great idea with outdoor swimming pool , for ex. 50 meters!
Visit the community gardens , the arty midget golf or fire up the bbq . But please. Take. Your. Time. And enjoy!
One of the most unreal places I know. Perfect for learning how to bike , picknicks, etc etc!
A must-see. There's no place like Tempelhof! Heaven in the middle if Neukölln.
Former airport , therefore a big open space . Tends to be windy. Dog areas, bbq areas and free public toilets .
Ride on a runway ! Bring your bike , running shoes , rollerskate or barbecue . Must see!
If you have a single speed and a few hours to spare, this is the only place to go. Enjoy a ride on the old landing strips of this now opened for public military airport .
Come here in September for Berlin (music ) Festival . Tons of hipsters and some cool bands guaranteed.
Gorgeous park , with vendors, and lots of places to walk and bike .
A perfect spot for sunset photography
This park is the best: unreal silence and wideness. A mind saver.
Doenst feel crowded even with so many people. Find a good spot on the gras and just enjoy your chilled day
The former airport is awesome for: relaxing, BBQ , sports ,... . One of my favourite places in Berlin!
Maybe the coolest park in the world on an abandoned Nazi airport . Run across the runways .
Great day out in the fresh air , can watch kite skaters, BBQ , cycle around, chill out at the Biergarten
Very surreal but so much fun! Hire a buggy/go-kart and cycle around with a friend.
Great place to hang around, ride your bike or lay yourself in the sun with a beer
My favorite place in Berlin. Very free and wide open, good vibes.
I just love this place , with or without planes .
Located next to the old Berlin Tempelhof Airport , the Tempelhofer Park is nice to take a walk and relax on the grass !
Great spot for biking , windsurfing , barbecueing and just hanging out in the gardens
This place is eerie as shit but in the charming Berlin fashion. If you're an avid kite flyer it's the place for you.
A nice open field , you can do you BBQ , sports or whatever ;) :). Just enjoy it!
The place is huge. a must with some outdoor activity like bycicle or Segway
Walk around but also rent a bike . It is a huge space and worth exploring.
Great for picnic and barbecue . Love to watch the sunset here.
This is the place to hang out and have a picnic , i highly recommend!
You need a bicycle to properly appreciate the giant runway (I had one - it was great fun).
Best Place to watch Berlin sunsets !
It's nice to bike around, chill and BBQ here
Nowhere better to be on a sunny day in Berlin
This spot is sick! You can skate , bike and windsurf here!
Great Park , Good BBQ areas but they close at 21.30 so you can only leave via the turnstyles.
The best place for a date, picnic or whatever!!!
Grab a beer and have some fun with your friend chilling in the sun. ~
absolut legales grillen, quasi auf der landebahn mit hammer aussicht. - Kathrin Weinen
A really good burger and a beautiful Biergarten. If you are looking for something to eat after walking down the runway, this is your best option! - dave
