Amazing views of the bridge . And pretty much everything on the boat was incredible. Leave small kids and babies at home or be prepared for some treacherous handling. Loved it!
Awesome exhibits . Yorktown was service in ww2 as did the submarine they have here. They allow groups to stay overnight. It is very popular with boy scout groups.
The aircraft is huuuge. Be ready to climb down and up all the time. I would also recommend to take audio tour from the beginning as it has some interesting information
Loved this place. This is a must to visit in Charleston. It is like walking around a city .
Photo Tip: You'll need a tripod to take photos in the bowels of the ship , but tripods are tripping hazards; instead, bring along a Gorillapod or clamp and use the many handrails, chairs, and handles.
If you need a break from the summer heat, the theater is nice and cool and The Fighting Lady plays on a loop.
Here’s a NYE drinking game: Sip champagne every time you spot one of the 25 naval aircraft on board the ship . – Green Guide Editor
The Vietnam Experience is well done and immerses the audience in the challenges of combat. It's a petting zoo for historians.
Amazing ! Don't miss it. Wear comfortable shoes ! Lots of walking and climbing
OK place to visit. Lots of things are in disrepair. Went on a day that was not crowded . Wouldn't want to be there on a busy day! Some staff @ info desk helpful, those in most other areas need new job!
Lots of history... you get to roam about the ship freely. Great view from the top deck.
Awesome place to visit!! Great piece of American history!!!!!
Great view from the top but you must bring a jacket . Because the top area is very windy.
Truly, a trip to the flight deck makes us proud to be an American. And the view from here makes us proud to be a Charlestonian.
The USS Yorktown is an absolute must see when you visit Charleston!!!
Bring snacks ! The museum is great, but if you are going around mealtime, there are only vending machines with overpriced snacks .
Medal of Honor Museum is a must .. ships are a walk through history.
Be prepared to sweat! No AC or ventilation thru much of it. Also, lots of really steep, narrow steps, so not good for little kids. The flight deck is the best part by far!
Great history knowledge and lots to see.
It is good to be a woman on a Boy Scout trip . Officer accommodations for the women, ensign accommodations for guys. Sorry guys!
Goosebumps when realize history of ship . Like recovering Apollo 8 astronauts after returning from the moon.
An aircraft carrier experience. ???? I LOVE history.
Get the audio headsets at the ship . Worth it.
Here on the historic USS Yorktown for a Patriots Point Veterans Town Hall with Colonel Michael Steele and Major General James E Livingston.
Pretty view and neat info and also bring jacket gets a little chillly !!
Quite an interesting tour of a ww2 aircraft carrier and sub. Theres a ton of history on this ship .
The food at the snack bar on board is worth skipping. Our 5 value orders were all served lukewarm, cold before we were finished.
Try the 'Superdog' all beef and really good!
Great experience!!!
Pretty good tour . Learned a fair bit and felt patriotic for a change.
Great place for history buffs

If it's cold outside, I would recommend the bottom deck. It's enclosed and heated! - Keith Cannizzaro
Really amazing historical experience. Not many places that you can go to walk on the deck of an aircraft carrier. Staff is extremely friendly and informative. Set aside a few hours! - Ryan Westenberger
Great ferry ride, unbelievable staff and very knowledgeable. Have a beer on the way back! - Kelly Fechter
