2800 E Observatory Ave (at Griffith Park Observatory) Los Angeles , CA 90027 United States
Great lookout point to the Hollywood sign ! But should not be confused with the hike to the actual Hollywood sign haha
Great hiking trail with views of the valley, the city and the Hollywood sign ! Not difficult at all. Only minimal incline. Lots of hikers. Bring water on a hot day, and you'll get a tan
So beautiful! I would recommend coming in the morning (park opens at 5:30 A.M.) or at dusk, just to save yourself from the sun. Views are breathtaking in the morning too. Go to Dante’s garden at top
Take ICED water, a little hand towel, sunblock, (light long sleeve shirt/hat would be great too), wear sneakers , know you will want to turn around but just finish! We did it!
This trail provides spectacular views of the Los Angeles Basin. Native American tribes such as the Tongva and Chumash lived in these mountains for over 8000 years before Spanish colonizers invaded.
Fantastic hiking , long or short . Stunning 360 degree views of LA and Valley. Perfect exercise. VERY busy on weekends. Weekdays are perfect. Observatory closed on Monday, which makes it a perfect day.
3mi RT hike offers STUNNING 360 view of LA and SFV. Easy to moderate. Totally worth it! Park @ Observatory lot, walk away from the Observatory , start up the Mt. Hollywood Hiking Trail .
for those older men who have huge guts and are just plain hideous-- it is NOT okay to take your shirt off. other than those eyesores, it's a lovely hike !!!!
People forget you can hike past the Observatory . Do it. The views are incredible.
Be prepared with water, if hiking .
Excited about it
