absolutely worth it for the 360º views – start your hike from Fern Dell for a strong finish. (if you're with others that can't do the full thing, you could also head up from Griffith Observatory )
There are several ways to get to the top, including a trail by the Greek Theater and one off of Fern Dell . Or, of course, you could cheat and start from the observatory !
Super easy hike , even the "hard way". Note that this isn't the mountain with the Hollywood sign on it - that's Mount Lee.

Fantastic hiking, long or short. Stunning 360 degree views of LA and Valley. Perfect exercise. VERY busy on weekends. Weekdays are perfect. Observatory closed on Monday, which makes it a perfect day. - Joe Miller
