Simple, fresh, and incredibly delicious food, served in the most intimate , friendly atmosphere you can possibly find in Lisbon. It's like eating in the kitchen of good friends. A must!
Very friendly staff and delicious food. Menu changes often, so ask for specialties.
It moved to Escadinhas das Portas do Mar 4 just a few minutes away from the original location. It's quite hard to find but very much worth it.Grilled sardines, fried cod , and service are great.
I can't even describe the amount of love I felt from this restaurant . Immediately they treated us like family. We ordered one of everything on the small rotating menu and everything was delicious.
You have to get the grilled sardines as people say, but also try for starters an order of the mixed salad and cod fritters paired with Vinho Verde (bottle only 10€). Fun small family place !
If you are interested to find a place in the old part of the city with the authentic Portugiese cuisine I recommend you to visit this place. A LOT of people aware of this place, so come at 19 00
Cozy little seafood restaurant tucked away in an alley. Do try their house shrimp and cheese/cold cuts platter. Great place to sample some of the best local flavors. Prices reasonable.
Wow!!❤️ Amazing grilled sardines 🐟 🐟 🐟 and cod fried🐟 🐟 ! Perfect serving and normal price! It was definitely my best experience in Lisbon!! 😋😍🐟
Cozy place, delicious food and friendly staff . Worth to go, we were there 3 days during our week in Lisbon. You have to try calamari :)
Loved the octopus salad and grilled sardines . Great seasoning, fresh ingredients and very affordable price .
Really nice food options and people, nice spot, totally recommend it! We took five dishes, because we wanted to try as many as we could!
Just don’t kid yourself when reading “food to share” on the menu. Portions are microscopic. You can call it mini tapas and probably will be right. Salad with octopus — €9 for a half of octopus leg.
I will never forget this place, from the tiny but friendly outdoor seating , to the grilled sardines without forgetting the very kind staff ! You absolutely need to experience this place.
It has actually 2 locations, one that is mentioned on the map and Escadinhas das Portas do Mar 4. It may seem that there is no way for a restaurant to be there, keep looking. You will not regret it!
We tried pica-pau and marinated sardines . Both of them were delicious, especially pica-pau. We will definitely come again 😍
Lovely service in a hole in the wall establishment serving grilled sardines to die for.
WHY THERE: seafood mostly, tight interior. STUFF: interesting. STAFF : cool. LOCATION: close to mainstream (inconvenient). PRICES: higher average (reasonable)
Great grilled sardines and pica pau (local dish) a must while on Lisbon
If you want to try some traditional Portuguese flavors this is the place. Try octopus salad , squid and fried cod !
Get the octopus salad with a side of bread to soak up the goodness
Best dinner we have ever had in Lissabon. The owner is a super nice lady. Alfama e linda! 😄🎈🙏
Everything here tastes wonderful, especially the grilled sardines and pica pau pork
Octopus Salad , Codfish & Migas (last one Portuguese must have 👌)
Original location temporarily closed, look for Lisboa tu e eu 2 in google maps. New address “escadinhas das portas do mar 4”
They moved. There are now on R. Canastras 2. Find the stairs with a sign, it's very hidden.
Be there 10 mins before they open… or one hour later.. very small place and limited seats
Typical Portuguese cuisine . Friendly staff . Nice atmosphere.
The marinated sardines changed my life.
Fantastic food, very nice people, and a beautiful place :)
Perfect grilled sardines and mixed salad
Nice Service, the octupus salad so excellent!
Calamari in lemon sauce is heaven!

Waiter was incredibly rude. Food was okAvoid.
Terrible and unprofessional service. Avoid.
Bacalhau a bras !
