Get the crab or shrimp . The crawfish etufee & baked potato are amazing. The fried alligator is a must! Save room for dessert . The caramel cheese cake , bread pudding and pecan pie are great choices.
Someone recommended me this place and the "Blackened Alligator"... Really good! Very tasty and spiced. I liked too the Crawfish . Crowded place with live music and dance floor .
Get a bowl of gumbo and a salad if you're budget - conscious. Otherwise try one of the combination platters. Arrive early to beat the dinner crowd.
best meal I have has on my trip to New Orleans. Stuffed mushrooms were delicious, smoked oyster were a little softer than I had liked but the flavor was amazing. Seafood pasta was delicious.
Chicken wings are so good. I could eat them every week for years. Hot, flavored, good size, juicy etc. This is how chicken wings should be done.
This place is a little touristy but the food saved it. I enjoy a delicious bowl of Zydeco Gumbo rich in flavor and spiced just right.
Get here before heavy dinner rush. Great Blackened grilled chicken salad . Beer is cold. Good spot right after and outside convention center for quick food.
Must get the crab ???? beignets . Haven’t seen them anywhere else and they are delicious! Perfect appetizer for 4 people to start your meal! Wash down with a cocktail like a NOLA mojito
Excellent food and service. Jambalaya was amazing. As was the étouffée . Would recommend whole heartedly.
Still great food, live music , and drinks 10+years after we first discovered it.Bread pudding is our go to dessert there!
Get the Zydeco Gumbo , very good. Also the Zydeco bread was interesting if you want to venture out for something different. Love the atmosphere.
Dinner and dancing . A fun change of pace from the craziness of Bourbon Street. Food good; mixed drinks not too strong, however, even with extra shot...Go with beer or wine :(
Pricy , but good. Stuffed catfish was tasty. Fried oyster appetizer was soo garlicky, but so good!
Skip the shrimp gumbo . It's incredibly fishy. If you like spicy , go for the Zydeco gumbo . If not, shrimp etouffe and the red beans and rice are safe bets and both are hearty and delish. MmmmmMmmmmmmm.
This place is excellent! Try the Grilled Cajun Seafood Platter , and Abita .
The Cajun appetizer sampler and muffuletta are amazing. Leave room for dessert . Super yummy!
You must have the sea food pasta . It is fantastic. Great service. Charming environment. Will go there again before I leave. The challenge will be to get something besides the aforementioned pasta
Fantastic! Whateever you order, get a side of cole slaw . Pretty close to the best I've ever had, maybe THE best.
Loved the grilled shrimp w/ twice baked potato ! Yummy! Kinda pricey but so good!
Cajun sampler appetizer ! $50.00 split between myself and 2 other people as our meal and it was worth every penny!!
Roasted corn and shrimp bisque is awesome! I try something new each year and they never disappoint!
Had the grilled and fried gator . I preferred the grillwd but both were good. Also had crab stuffed catfish . Also good
Great place if you want to experience Cajun atmosphere with live music . We felt music was a bit loud though. Food was good.
Crab stuffed shrimp is amazing! Love the dancing and music entertainment...a must visit in New Orleans!
Seafood pasta and stuffed shrimp were amazing! #bestfoodever
Red beans n rice , it was good but not great. The staff were all friendly and there's live music , bit touristy .
Solid muffalatta sandwich and pecan beer . Come for dinner for the live music - the stage is near the back of the restaurant .
Oreo dirt is probably the best dessert here. Don't judge. Just try it. You won't regret it.
Awesome food, great atmosphere. Had the blackened fish of day (Mahi mahi ) was cooked perfectly and delicious.
Red beans and rice were the best. Followed by the gumbo then the crawfish étouffée last. Also the bowls are huge and the cups are tiny.
The food was amazing, fried and grilled catfish , plus live entertainment, so much fun!
Banquet hall, not in a good way. Salt is their signature ingredient. Server was great though
Get the jambalaya , catfish fingers and bread pudding for dessert ! The food is amazing
Crawfish etoufee was very good...heavy dish so suggest small. Overall seems to be more of a “tourist trap” but do have live music which is nice.
Cajun ribs were pretty good. Don't get the Cajun seafood platter...there wasn't anything Cajun about it. Great live music on Friday night
This is a great place, especially if you are in New Orleans for a convention or exhibition . At night there is creole / xydeco music and dancing . I highly recommend their spicy sausage po boys ! Read more
The food is great! The service-Not so much! Would have liked to receive the appetizers BEFORE the main course rather than with it, and the Female crabcakes are much smaller than the male crabcakes .
The Original Cajun restaurant - eating as local as you can get
Mediocre food but good atmosphere and selection for large groups looking for local cuisine . Overpriced but you can get a good muffuletta , cole slaw and Boudain here. Get your fix at Acme first.
Definitely on the pricey side. $20 for po boy sandwich and $11 drinks. The corn and shrimp bisque was good.
It's a bit cheesy and tourist-oriented but at least the food's good. Get the alligator .
Great fun for the family with live country music , food good but a little pricey !
Best po'boys in town !
Everything is great! Don't miss this place!
Great food, service and music . Strong drinks !
Fabulous atmosphere. Food is very authentic . Delicious! !
The Mulate catfish is amazing. Topped with crawfish étouffée . Simply delicious.
Keep eating so you don't get asked to dance , unless you can keep up with the energetic little old man!
