National Gallery of Ireland

The Gallery has an extensive, representative collection of Irish painting and is also notable for its Italian Baroque and Dutch masters painting . Entry to the gallery is free.

Open Space is the best! more than the paintings or sculptures ,the building itself has a lot o charming,it's impressive: big walls,huge doors, high ceilings ..definitely a must while visiting Dublin!

You'll find a great collection of french painters from the early 20th century in this newly renovated building. The admission to the permanent exhibition is free.

The portrait gallery is excellent. Loved that the museum is small enough that you feel as though you can really see it all.

Beautiful contemporary building and a great collection, not very large, but covering the most important artists

The gallery houses 14,000 works, but the most famous is Caravaggio’s 17th century Taking Of Christ. It was discovered in a Dublin Jesuit house in 1993 where it was thought to be copy.

Great museum ! Look at the famous Remoir and enjoy the other art . Free admission , too.

Mah...the exhibits are not particularly well curated, or laid out. Few good pieces, but the size of the collection, does not make it a "gallery ".

Great place for the family

The toilets here are always well kept. This place is useful if you get caught short in the Merrion Square area.

The cafeteria (Clare Street) entrance is a good place to get some reading & writing done
