On the eastern corner of Whole Foods is a separate beer shop, with a large selection of import and craft beer . BYO growler to bring local draft beer back home, or just pick up a sixer of your choice.
One of the more spacious WF in New York City , it features all the usual goodies plus the highlights of an extensive pickle and craft beer section
Pro tip: get a half salad on the second floor. Huge, fresh, tasty and wildly inexpensive . I'd venture to say its the best salad value in the city !
The gelato counter here is the best kept secret in the neighborhood ! Inexpensive and delicious. Try the cinnamon flavor.
Lots of healthy options , not too crowded compared to other WFs, overall good shopping experience
The design of this WFM is bright , airy (especially for NYC), and fun. The 2nd-floor eatery & seating area is really nice. Like any WFM, the product offerings and service are great.
all salad bar and hot buffet items list their ingredients
Much less crowded than other Whole Foods in NYC. Large upstairs area to enjoy a snack or a smoothie . Also, dessert bar by the pound ????
We love this location not only for the fresh, extensive selection of products, but for the Beer Room and Yuji Ramen upstairs .
I just noticed that they got rid of the dedicated beer section (I think this happened a few months ago) to replace it with a coffee shop . They still have a big selection but no growlers anymore.
All the premade dishes for quick lunch or dinner ! Sinful mac and cheese , tamales , Sanoma chicken salad , fresh fruits , etc. Green beans are a bit greasy lol
In the brewery room, pick up the bubbly Lambrucha beer , a tart , pinkish quaff made by blending lambic (a sour ale from Belgium) with kombucha tea . It’s one of our #100best dishes and drinks of 2011. Read more
A little pricier , but so worth it. Fresh organic produce . Yummy prepared foods, great for grabbing snacks before heading out to nearby Webster Hall or Le Poisson Rouge for a show!
EVERYTHING!! My go-to for veggies , fish , yogurt ! Fresh produce and actually less expensive than the local Met supermarket . Go figure!!
Make sure you look out for the Prime deals if you are Amazon Prime member
The setup of the store is rather winding and not too intuitive. As with all Whole Foods, everyone who works there is great!
The upstairs is amazing. Chill place to hang out and eat and there is a Jamba Juice ! Some pretty great views of the area as well !
Good for stonefruit. Pretty good cheese selection . Charcuterie is comparatively weak. Lots and lots of different beers .
Great layout at this Whole Foods, and our favorite grocery in the area. The eating area on the second floor is a good place to relax as well .
The grind-your-own nut butters are amazing. Whole Foods, making the pb&j bougie.
If you're upstairs for lunch/dinner, as glamorous as the sushi conveyer belt looks, I'd skip it. Salad or pasta is the way to go!
The Bowery burger is such a deal!! $5 for a vegan veggie burger with ALL the fixings...the bun is reminiscent of BK or McDs but healthier. Carrnivores can get grassfed beef burgers for same price!
One of the best store beer selections you'll ever see! Huge selection of both domestic and international, cold and not cold, actually a whole beer ""wing"" on the left side of the store.
Exit @ 2nd Avenue station on "2nd Avenue" end. Door to store is right there. Walk past registers to left for sushi , home-made stew & brick oven pizza . Check out on the express line . Back to F. 10 mins
Check out the Beer Room at the corner of Houston and Chrystie. In addition to six beers on tap for growler fills , there's a huge bottle selection and homebrewing supplies.
They have 2 whole rotisserie chickens for $14.99. Options include plain, BBQ , herb and tandoori . Can't not go wrong. Ever ! Great price and taste even better!
It is a good spot if you live in this area to go to and get fresh food . I would recommend this one.
The beer selection is OMG amazing! One of the only places in the city that has St Bernadus Christmas Ale . If you like dark Belgian style beer , you will love it!

This Whole Foods is the least exclusive place you can go to have a reliably awesome celebrity sighting. Tracy Morgan, Agyness Deyn, Mos Def, etc. (Plus, salad bar is great for hiding behind!)
Love the salad bar . Careful, though - go there hungry and you'll leave with a 1.8 pound $20 salad
The Bowery Whole Foods has a fantastic selection of natural and organic foods and produce. You can find Hot Bread Kitchen products sold here.
They make burgers now. I tried the turkey and the beef burger and they're good. I recommend garlic aioli or chipotle sauce instead of ketchup or mayo .
Did you know WF sells pizza dough ? Grab a ball and give this homemade Skillet Pizza a try. The easiest way to achieve a perfect charred crust at home! Get the recipe on kitchenkonfidence.com.
So expensive , but worth it. Always fresh. Love the almond butter (grind it yo'self, foo)!
They always have super delicious blackberries—and they're cheaper than at Key Food!
upstairs fresh n' wild station is the way to go.
At it's most crowded , it's a nightmare. But love the upstairs food court . Prepared foods always excellent. I'm hoping they no longer cheat on their scales.
Great selection of organic products and great selection of sugar derivatives for people with diabetes. I did a dinner and made desserts using Stevia. -Ed Cotton, Top Chef
Even if you only have a few items, the lanes for 12 items or more are almost always faster (except peaks times on weekends).
Plenty of seating upstairs . They also have a place where you can sample Smorgasburg goodies!
burger bar in ground floor near prepared foods is excellent and a great value ($8!)
Don't go during commuting hours as the lines get VERY long! Also, if you have more than 10 items in the 10 items or less line , you will get yelled at.
Must be the biggest organic foods market in the world. Amazing
The tables upstairs are great. Beats working at Starbucks--especially when you want to eat. The communal tables also gives you the opportunity to talk to new people if that's your thing.

The beer room is totally out of control! I like supporting smaller shops...but Whole Foods has a literally unbeatable selection
The beer shop has a huge selection of craft beer and some home brewing supplies. Seriously, who buys PBR when some of the best beer in the world is right next to it?
This Whole Foods has the most elder millennial friendly music ever and I love it
Whole Foods continues to be a top notch, although unaffordable, Grocer in NYC
