Stunning Victorian pub with ornate glazed tiling throughout. On national inventory of historic pub interiors. Great real ales .
Forget the local Gourmet Burger Company and Handmade Burger Company in the city centre...If you want a truly amazing burger , this is the place to go to. One of the best I've tried in Birmingham.
If you're around the Jewellery Quarter , this is definitely a place where you should go for a drink or a bite. Really cozy and lovely on the inside.
Lovely Victorian Pub Big Glass Windows , but I found the pub very cold and the seats were too high above the tables Friendly staff and good food. Would I go again Yes I would.
Kitchen staff were awesome for staying behind to make sure our group all got fed, and the bartenders can shake fast enough to vibrate atoms apart . Will definitely be going back!
Amazing food! a great place for lunch , diner or a drink! Loved the interior design of the place! Must try the fishcakes !!!
Decent (but not great) food, service can be very slow but the staff are friendly . Always a good few ales on tap and a great atmosphere.
The cocktails are amazing. And if you can get the wing-back chairs in the snug, well done!!
Great place to eat and drink, often find Talis engineers here, join us at engineering.talis.com
The bacon is quite simply the best my family have ever tasted!!! You will not be disappointed!

Beautiful decor, stained glass windows and great cocktails !
Good beer , great staff but £1 for crisps!!!
Definitely recommend the food here, excellent menu and good, friendly service :-)

Awesome food, chill atmosphere!
Highly recommended quirky pub in the jewellery quarter
Lovely pub but ridiculously cold. Wear a jumper & take a scarf !
Food used to be good, best to avoid these days. Nice beer though
Bacon Cheese is the one!
Brilliant food and bar staff
Food... Meh... Burger was tough/over cooked. Brioche bun was dry. Mac/cheese was tasteless. Chips were just a bit nothing... Onion rings were the one redeeming feature! Overall... Disappointing...
Best fish finger sandwich in the west!
Very tasty Roast, giant yorkshire
The white Russians are where it's at!
Singapore slings to die for ;-)
Good pub , reasonable food prices but busy. No toilet paper in ladies and in need of a clean
DMN Birmingham - Bar of the Month: January 2014
the food is amazing
Food is so far below par it's unbelievable, the burgers are cunningly disguised as "fancy " but the taste is so far below par it has shattered into pieces.
No high chair , no kids menu . Although they will sort something out for you.
Great pub , fab windows!
Dark, dingy, and dirty . The hot dogs are beyond terrible. The cocktails aren't too bad, though.
There's old codgers here. That's good.
Football with foreign commentary
It's THE best pub in Brum. Well worth the walk out of the city centre. Beer garden is great all year round. There's ping-pong too! - Adam Dickens
Like its sister pub, the Lord Clifden, the food is generous and top notch. There's always two or three great real ales on and the cosy lounge can trap you there for hours. - James Wright
Delicious cocktails and really friendly staff. Try the maple smoked old fashioned ???????? - Rachel Jewkes
Sunday brunch @ Peel and Stone - Great menu, bottomless coffee and good music. This place is a gem. I think the menu changes every week but if they have it, the pulled pork & kimchi egg is amaze - Cristina Vant
Nice venue had a glass of wine here before going out for a meal, £2.50 for a glass of wine, very good value. - Nita Hodgson
