This hotel is different, good different. Decor in rooms is almost unique. Courteous staff , good location. You should stay here at least once if you are in the DC area. Great lounge (rooftop ).
Great location and beautiful views from the rooms facing Thomas Circle . Had great service from the staff throughout my 5 night stay.
Great place to stay if you want to explore the city . If you want the free bikes the hotel provides (only 3), you have to be early!
Situated along Thomas Circle , this centrally-located Klimpton boutique hotel mixes urban chic with a bit of James Bond cool to a vibrant crowd. Read more
Checking in was quick and easy. My room is modern and comfortable with a terrific view . Kareem at the front desk was friendly , helpful and professional.
Great location. Unique room, especially the bathroom . Outstanding toiletries provided. The front desk was really friendly .
Great views from the rooftop but the pool closes at 5:00 (at which point the rooftop bar opens up).
Free wi-fi and $10 "raid the mini-bar" credit with InTouch membership and a complimentary wine reception from 5-6 every evening. Great views from the rooftop bar/pool.
Warning: opening the half-bottle of (usually) cheap , mini fridge wine in your room will cost you more than $25! Welcome to DC.
They serve wine and light snacks in the lobby from 5-6. Great hospitality and a chance to relax after a long day.
Great place to stay. Beautifully modern rooms but still very cozy . Super friendly and helpful staff .
Incredibly friendly staff , complimentary wine from 5-6, fun touches in the room...great place to stay!
Great pool, good size room. Somewhat unreliable housekeeping. Sometimes design trumped function.
Excellent friendly staff . Beautiful room. We always love a Kimpton hotel .
Nice boutique hotel , free wine and munchies in the lobby everyday from 5 to 6
The hotel is great but some of the parking staff are extremely rude! Also the employees like to hang out with their cars in the one loading/unloading space making it difficult to check in/out easily!
it's quiet , and the location was great for my trip. however, the Wi-fi worked about <5% of the time
Really nice hotel but you have to order ice from the front desk since there are no ice machines. No coffee maker in the room either. Other than that very modern look, nice staff .
Great staff . Free wine every night between five and six.
Free blazing fast Wi-Fi for Kimpton InTouch Members. Free to sign up. Check out the hotel site for details.
The Happy Wine Hour in the lobby at 5 pm is a must
Service was friendly and fast! Our server was Great!
Another blast of wintry weather means another comfortable stay at The Donovan.
Super comfortable hotel that is inspired by a 1960s James Bond movie .

Get excited! Refreshed Rooftop slated to open middle of May! More details to come for sure. -The Mayor
Hope that the elevators are working properly. During our stay only two of the three were in use and hotel staff were using them for their needs as well . Waiting for an elevator grew really old.
Nice hotel , however the pool closes at 5 pm so they can open the rooftop bar which is a little bit of a bummer.
Parking staff here can be VERY rude and combative. They like to park their personal cars in the one load/unload space available so they can chat with their friends.
spy themed with a kickass sushi restaurant downstairs.
Drinks are good, but pricey ! Nice spot, DJ was on point! No cover or dress code is a plus!
They overbook rooms so we ended up having to find another hotel at midnight! No compensation whatsoever, just an apology. Really bad experience and horrible customer service...
Awesome hotel . Great staff too. Had an issue with my first room and got upgraded to an amazing room.
Location rooms, food
The hot coco in the morning is heavenly
The shower water pressure is similar to 20 forest elves peeing on you.
Super rooftop
Excellent! Let's do it again!
Sleek decor at this happening hotel . The rooftop pool lounge boasts DC's most fashionable crowd.
The Woodward and Bernstein Meeting Rooms are perfect for groups from 10 to 80 people.
This place has a nice swag to its layout... Definately cozy
Inner Circle members get $10 credit to the minibar
If you're looking for a hotel with good customer service this is not the place
Perks: social rooftop
Amazing place
The free Internet code previously mentioned is invalid. They change it weekly FYI.
The conference wifi signal has free access.
Sarah at the front desk is wonderful!
Small rooms but very very nice
Beds are uncomfortable. Not enough water pressure...shower was more like a drizzle. Elevators are very slow. Seems more effort was put into aesthetics than comfort.
Love all the attention to every detail and that BDT is in the building. The King Suites have phenomenal bathrooms (deep tub, multiple shower heads, scented bath salts) - Suzannah Simmons
One of the best hotels in DC. I can't go anywhere else. Great service and ambiance and within walking distance from everything. - Yolan Scott
Friday nights they have a happy hour with free soda, beer, and wine (they also had really tasty sangria when I was there)! - Kristina Klausser
