We did a sake tasting which was educational . Food is excellent but pricey . All the dishes on the menu were excellent & creative, like using persimmon as a bowl. Ginkgo nut roasted w/ chestnuts good.
This is just a hideaway. Many kinds of Yakitori based on real Japanese taste. Not cheap but authentic . Store manager so cool! Photo is baked crispy rice ball .
Everything was good, including cocktails and sake . In the a la carte options, the sashimi was very good, also the grilled cod . Desserts are good but could be skipped. Try to get a counter seat .
Cool concept for a night time yakitori and drinking hole to share the shopspace with a day time traditional Coffeeshop. Weekends donburi lunch sets are of good value . Will be back!
Wide selection of food in this hidden little restaurant from yakitori and sashimi to whole fish and beef tongue . Omakase or a la carte .
A bit pricey , so go for the lunch specials . Yakitori is well done here. Chickens are specially imported from France and raised in Malaysia.
Delicious light cocktails , good for an after dinner digestive. Bar seating not very comfortable though and not ideal for groups
The lunch don sets are a fantastic deal! In addition to the don, you also get a small app, salad , fried chicken and dessert !
The chicken stock for the hotpot is ridiculously to-die-for. Try their cocktails too; I had a shocu and homemade ginger beer concoction that was great.
Really good stuff... All the yakitori was well executed. Tsukune was very tasty, best I've had since Ichigo changed hands. Sets are better value.
Amazing setting, very cosy with no sight of it from outside though... Good selection of beer and spirits and awesome japanese food !
Yakitori done well . Not perfect but the atmosphere makes up for it. Worth a revisit. A nice hidden gem in TiongBahru!
Amazing Japanese Restaurant , well hidden behind traditional Singapore Coffee place .
Pricy Japanese restaurant with superb food quality and taste.
beef tongue , black garlic kurobuta pork , veal heart miso stew ..
Chef has huge range of offerings and every dish was great.
Cool place. Great cocktails and excellent Japanese food .
Mentai wings and Miyazaki chicken neck for the win!
Rustic ambience and big cool factor. Not a place if you looking for sumptuous yakitori because choices are not great. They have very "thick" chicken soup if you like that.
Impressive underground find and good Yakitori . Can't say the same for service.
$2 chicken sold at $28? Service is good but must be the $20 salt we are paying for a pinch.
Had the yummiest yuzu + shisho cocktail here!
The front door is not on Moh Guan Terrace ! Approach from the carpark.
extraordinary prices for ordinary food
Given the price I expected a lot. I got average food with no finesse in execution & inconsistent service (owing to a clueless waiter ). Liked the decor. Too bad it did nothing to enhance my experience.
Everything is amazing
Bincho Express set ???? great tasting
Yuzu shinso and wagyu beef cubes
food service timing can be quite spotty for multi-course meals.
It's not closed - enter by the back!
Great cocktail bar .
When my girlfriend wanted to leave and I asked them to cancel one person’s orders, the restaurant accidentally cancelled both our orders without notifying us for half hour. Never again.
Mentai wingsssss
So far the best ramen I have had. Beats the long queue below Orchid hotel by far! Flavourful, rich, balanced broth, delicious meat and yummie ramen noodles! No wonder I went back many times! - Chris Loves Food
Hot sake, salmon belly, California rolls, maki, sashimi, nice staff... This place has it all! - Veronika Kovaličová
Must try the Omakase during dinner get the $80. The additional dishes you get is worth more than the additional $20. Above all the food quality is probably the best you could get at that price! - Wendy Lim
Love 02-16. Super rendang, sambal fish. Brown rice great plus. Sweetest people. - Shantanu Ray
I love this bakery which is dog friendly! Tasty quiche & salted caramel tart. Blueberry muffin too. Adds to the atmosphere of Tiong Bahru. - Minka Monica Li
