With over 100,000 mineral specimens and 3,700 gems, jewelry and objects d'art, the collections of the AMNH rank among the best in the world. Approximately 5,000 of the specimens are on display in the Guggenheim Hall of Minerals and the Morgan Memorial Hall of Gems.

Come for the gems and stay for the…gems. Truly an incredible collection of gems and minerals. Mesmerizing to walk through and look at the beautiful varieties. Excellent addition to the museum !

American Museum of Natural History

Check out the Newmont Azurite, discovered in 1952 and used by a miner to pay his bar tab! It is considered one of world’s finest mineral specimens.

5 Stars for the new Gemstone Exhibit ! An amazing collection of minerals & gemstones is housed here including a 13-foot tall Amethyst & a giant meteorite. Definitely worth navigating

The David H. Koch Dinos exhibit by far outdoes any other that I've seen! AMNH has an entire whole floor of dinos! Amazing hierarchies throughout the exhibit. They really condense a lot of information - ℳ????????♍
