Absolutely awesome hiking trail . Relatively short (a mile or less?) for the amazing reward of standing on a frozen lake surrounded by mindblowing mountains . Basically Skyrim in real life.
Nothing inspires me more than the power of nature ???? Stunning, adventurous! We couldn't make it all the way to Eagle Lake because the trail happened to be covered by unmelted snow at the end of May ????
Mind-blowing view at the head of Eagle Falls. You don't wanna miss the lake .
Short but sweet trail . Beautiful views . Be careful if there's snow, the steps can get VERY icy. Four people in a row (including me) slipped at the exact same place!
Easy gradual uphill hike - Eagle lake is simply stunning. Very rewarding. Great for young kids.
Hike about 1 mile up hill with lots if rocks. We had our 3 year old who made it but would recommend for older children. Wear a suit under clothes for a refreshing swim in the lake in summer.
Greats views ! Pass by it if your in lake taho area, a nice hike as well
After bridge trail is on North face and in shade: icy conditions in late Fall, Winter and Spring. Tip: bring poles and snow/ice shoe tracks /soles/chains. Easier and sunny loop before the bridge .
From trailhead parking to Eagle Lake : 2.1km hike (1.3mi) and 450m elevation gain (1500ft). A bit strenuous hike after the bridge (still did it with my 3&6yo daughters).
Short hike with amazing views . Bring a lunch and enjoy a break at Eagle Lake .
Nowhere else would you get to sit on the waterfall and see it flow down
The lake at the top of eagle head trail is serene!
