Emerald Bay Lookout

The road way up lines with cascade lake on one side , emerald bay on the other and Lake Tahoe in front of you when I went there was also a rainbow. I seriously though I was dreaming.

I prefer this spot than the inspiration lookout cuz it has much better views !! (the sunset view is breathtaking) water is so blue and clean , fresh and cool air! love love love♥

Beautiful place... Clean water...go in a weather when there is no snowfall but snow is there... I went there by hiking ... You can choose ferry or boat... But a must go

Breathtaking views at sunset .. The pinkish sky + the combo of the lake , little "island ," + mountains make it picture perfect. Make it a picnic [I recommend Fasta Pasta !] for the ultimate experience.

Traffic from South Lake was a nightmare on LDW, but what a view . Wish we would have drove a bit further to the overlook past the Inspiration Point Vista.

tough to find parking after 9am, hike is steep but the lake is beautiful. bring picnic food and spend the day.

Beautiful views with very doable hikes . Sneakers are adequate.

A lazy short trail available near Eagle Lake . Nice little waterfall right off the main road , or see a bigger one 2 mins in... if you can find parking !
