Gorgeous view and great place to rest/snack after 2.1km hike (1.3mi) and 450m elevation gain (1500ft) from the Emerald Bay highway. North face trail so icy in late Fall, Winter and Spring.
Eagle Lake Trail . 1.9-mile out-and-back trail near South Lake Tahoe, California. Generally considered a moderately challenging route, it takes an average of 1 h 1 min to complete.
For icy conditions on the trail : bring poles and ice/snow shoe tracks/chains/soles. You will feel so more comfortable . Specially for the treacherous descent in icy conditions!
Long Hike from the road . But worth the trek.
