Check tide charts if you go right at bottom of Trail 6. Also note where debris from previous tides is located on the sand. You get trapped in certain areas & have to slog through water & rocks.
Been here a couple times; it's so close to campus! A popular location for friends to get together and sit around a bonfire . Definitely a social atmosphere. Also happens to be clothing-optional.
Oh boy, there are naked people there! Nudist beach in case you didn't know, bizarre if you're not used to that.
Respect the culture, you will be fine. Hide your booze, no canned music , and be friendly . You will have fun, the cops will leave you alone.
For those who like and feels comfortable in the middle of a bunch of naked people . It's a great place. Beautiful beach !
Be aware, there's a lot of stairs down to get to the beach - and unless you're really fit, the climb back up the stairs is exhausting!
Prepare to descend a lot of stairs to reach the beach from the entrance at University Blvd. and Marine Dr . They're well worth the climb down and back up!
Bring plenty of SPF, food and "drinks" a plenty on site, just remember you still have to get up that hill at the end of the day, so everything in moderation!
The secret tunnel is in the trees midway down the stairs... take a shortcut to the beach !
Don't come here when it's warm and sunny. A nudie beach in that weather.
Best place to go if you prefer hitting up the beach in the buck. :)
The steps are worth it!
The decent is easy, keep your eyes to yourself but it is a hard ascent.
An escape from other busy Vancouver beaches . Remember to be sun safe!
Walk down the concrete path five min up the road from wreck beach entrance, past the shacks and the fence to the end of the world!!!
To paraphrase the late, great Douglas Adams: always remember to bring a towel!
Main trail stairs: turn right if you like a laid back vibe, turn left for more activity. If you are hung up with nudity go to Kits
head to the right at the bottom of the stairs at the main beach and walk the coast to find a less 'busy' area.
There are actually a lot more young people here than I expected. Just don't go staring at them bewbs too much
Where shoes from the stairs. I just got burned soles (seriously blisters and all)
buy a sari from the first booth to left of the stairs to sit on...
Don't be shy - all types come here, and no one judges!
Take it all off and be free! nice water and a great view of the ocean
hippie nudie beach
Worlds best chillout beach . look out for the nudies
No tan line tanning
It can get a bit nippily ;-)
Great place to watch the sunset .
Students: take a break & head down Trail #6 at the end of NW Marine Dr . for the most stunning view on campus. Bring swimsuit & a towel and be transported to a world far, far away from your textbooks.
Wear that is.
Yes it is really good
Nothing says freedom as going naked to this magnificent beach ????
Nice beach with washrooms, shower, cafe , outdoor pool in the summer , tennis courts , grass area, excellent playground for kids. - Vivian Lee
What's good here? Everything. An incredible collection of new & old, juxtaposed in provocative ways to get your brain racing, heart pumping and sometimes blood boiling. I enjoyed this place immensely. - Jeff Spitulnik
It's nice, but quite often too busy to truly enjoy. Good viewpoint across to the N/Shore Mtns. - Jerry
Best warm weather reading spot on campus. Consistently peaceful. - Jon B
