Irene's can have long waiting hours but it's definetely worth it. While you wait, you can listen to good piano music , so it's not bad at all. The service is great and the food... amazing!

the server michael is the highlight of irene’s!! he recommended a lovely wine and made our experience fun and easy. the italian food was all right but does not compare if you’re from the tristate area

What an Italian gem in #NewOrleans. A perfect balance of local and Italian cuisine . From homemade lasagna to turtle soup , everything was spectacular! Paul provided exceptional service .

The wait is long but the service is absolutely outstanding-well worth it! They have a sitting room with a piano player and drink service. The best experience I've prob ever had. Food was delicious!

Phenomenal service from Michael. Red Snapper special was so light and lamb dish is a must. Salads are bigger than expected. Serve bruschetta versus bread service.

As per recommendation from the acclaimed Mike M., get the Paneed Oysters appetizer , substituting extra oysters for the shrimp . The world will be your... amazing little sea creature .

Great spot! Nothing better than Italian food & wine and Frank Sinatra. Line starts outside before opening, so make reservations or get there early.

Lamb is absolutely a must. Shrimp pasta (offered instead of crab pasta ) was a failure. Raviolis and lamb - good. Pasta - not.

Everything is fantastic here! Food, service, photos of all the stars who have been there, piano bar . ..so cool! Closed Sunday though!

Ask for Mike M. He is fantastic! He gave us a list a cool hang outs outside of the quarter to give us another perspective. He will take good care of you.

The Duck St. Pierre is superb! The other food was nice but the duck is astounding, do try it.

Chicken and pork cheek is awesome! Also try the short rib bucatini ! That was my favorite!

Top 5 meals of my life. Everything was great, but the fried oysters and escargot gave me a borderline seizure.

The Oysters Irene were amazing & I don't care for oysters !! The San Francisco entree was wonderful. Cheesecake for dessert .

This is the best place to eat in New Orleans but it also might be the most costly. As a poor college student I just had dessert and they treated me like queen.

Had a reservation and still waited over an hour for a table. It is a very popular place. Delicious food. Very cramped quarters but great table service. Joseph was our server and he was top notch.

Ask for Daniel, he's funny and very knowledgable . Bread pudding is to die for. Escargot is spectacular.

Order anything on the menu. It will be wonderful. I know, because I ordered everything and asked for it to be topped with oysters . WOW!

1 of the Top 3 Filet Mignons I have ever had, including Keens, Ruth Chris, and more. Paired with a perfectly spicy Cabernet .

Be prepared to WAIT. We had a reservation & were seated 45 minutes after the actual reservation time. Once seated, service was fantastic & food tasty. All in all worth it, but don't go if in a hurry.

They normally don't take reservations but call just in case. Or get here early and expect to wait!

By far the best of everything. I love this place and take anyone from out of town here for sure.
