The most realistic brauhaus I've been to in the states . Reminded me much of some Bamberg beer halls. Great selection and prices to boot. Make sure to grab a Maß! (Or two)
Now way to not order the Wurstbrett sausage sampler with sauerkraut and NINE sausages :BRATWURST , BAUERNWURST, UNGARISCHEWURST, SPECKWURST, PFEFFERBEISSER, KÄSEWURST, KIELBASA , WEIßWURST, and WIENER.
Happy hour is a great time to come - $4 sausage sandwiches and $4 smallest size of each beer (ranges from .2 to .5 L). Great way to try different beers before ordering the liter, or the 2L boot!
The beer menu is bigger than the food. It's authentic and perfect for a date or for hanging out with friends. Hidden gem and the staff will walk you through or give recommendations.
Amazing beer selection ! Authentic German feel and there's always a game to watch! Good was great! Recommend the "bacon flavored" wurst .
Owner Doug Hager wants to do for German beer in Philadelphia what Tom Peters of Monk’s Cafe did for the Belgians. And he’s well on his way, with never-before-seen beers arriving monthly.
Beer menu is extensive. The bartenders are super patient and accommodating in helping you select the right beer for you. Favorite food picks include the pretzel , sausage and potato salad .
Amazing house made sausage . Extensive beer list . I loved the spaetzle .
Hands down one of my favorite places - spend a good amount of time here trying as many beers as you can, order a pretzel , a cured meat board to share, and the bone marrow and have an uber good time!
One of my favorite Philly restaurants . Service is exceptional and they have great menu options that you don't see many places.
Always enjoy a visit to Brauhaus! ... Great food and a solid selection of beers -- on tap and bottles! ... Can't wait to go back ...
If you want a German feel without flying Luftansa, here's the place. Excellent import brews, waitresses in "traditional" German attire, and long wood tables / benches give this place the right feel.
The relatively spacious , unencumbered dining area stands in contrast to most South Street venues. This set-up tends to attract families with young children, especially on weekend afternoons.
Had an excellent pepper sausage sandwich with fried potatoes . Wife had weisswurst with spätzle .
Chef Jeremy Nolen cut his teeth working in private German clubs, perfecting his honest renditions of cuisine that has often been misrepresented. The draft list is simply awesome. Get the pretzel . Read more

If you're looking for good German good and beer (bier ) this is a great option. Make sure you ask for the herb butter to dip your pretzel in - that's entirely authentic German ! And a shot of schnapps
Great beers on tap and decent sized place. Music is super super loud though. Went on an off time so it wasn't too happening, but I would check it out again
Great beer selection and the French fries are amazing!
Awesome beer selection , authentic German menu. They even have beer in 1-liter glasses. Feels like a German beer hall.
I love the pretzel and schnitzel here. When you order your beer go big! The bigger the mug the better.
Very authentic German bierhall. Pretzels are good, desserts are bomb, and the burgers are fantastic quality.
For authentic cheap German fare without flying to Bavaria, you will love the proportions on their Wurstplatten (sausage platters ) & huge beer steins. If you don't like rowdy, stay away on busy nights. Read more
