be warned about the trash train , it is unbearable to walk along the trail south of Eakin's Oval when it is stationed along the trail . PEEEUUUUU
North of the Girard Avenue Bridge you will find ‘Playing Angels’ by Carl Milles . These angels overlook the Schuylkill, but they were cast from originals that overlook Stockholm’s harbor .
If a train in blocking the entrance to the park at 25th and Locust, you can access the trail via Walnut St. Just go up a block to 24th and head north.
The ideal weekend runners route since the road is closed to automobiles Saturdays and Sundays April through October. Many different trails are located along central route with mileage markers.
Most people go in the evening, but it's a great early morning option with a fair amount of shade from center city buildings. Read more

The walk along the river is nice. It’s paved so you can bike as well .
The guy who practices the bow-staph is a must see! If you're lucky, you can even catch a glimpse of the tight-rope walker!

The exhibits are very good and awesome to see even though you have to pay admission in order to enter the historic building. Loved viewing the ancient armor exhibits. The management &staff are helpful - Dave Lepkowski
