Wantan mee (dinner/supper) from 01-04 disappointed with their plain char siew (BBQ pork ). Wantans were authentically old skool though. 1 of 3 foodstalls open at 9:30pm on a weekday

Cheen The Curious

Good value hawker centre western food . Yummy quality offerings from Chef Hainanese Western Food #01–04. This plate of mixed grill (5 types of protein) for $10. Opens for dinner only & long queue time

Ting

Less birds here n so more serene. Chicken rice is cheap and good. Min Jiang Kueh and freshly made cheong fun good too. Most stalls are open for breakfast and by lunch , more than half are closed.

Darren Yap

Here's a breakfast idea ... appam with mata lembu from Hajjah R.S.A (#01-27) and coffee from Five Foot Way (#01-25). You can thank me later.

Cheen The Curious

Grated coconut & coconut milk . There’s a stall at the wet market section (can’t find unit number) selling these, as well as some fruits

Goh Beng

美佳炒米粉 - best fried bee hoon and I've been here almost every sat coz of this. Slightly wet style but yet bee hoon is not soggy. Try it yourself and you'll see !

Darren Yap

Tanglin Halt Original Peanut Pancake #01-16. My favorite is the salty pancake . Love the yam paste an original peanut too. Run by a friendly ever-smiling elderly couple. A must try!

Cheen The Curious

Kaya toast set. Disappointed with offerings from Five Foot Way 01-25, top 10 recipient of 2008 City Hawker Food Hunt for coffee & bread . Kopi lacked aroma; kaya toast used Gardenia bread & margarine

Cheen The Curious

Fried bee hoon . The breakfast stall Mei Kia 01-18 is popular but I found the bee hoon base too salty. Yummy fried chicken and chilli sauce though

Darren Yap

Stall #01-09 offers delicious and super affordable porridge and Hong Kong style chee cheong fun . Friendly and generous stall owner too.

Dora Choo

The accompanying soup is yummy and chicken rice plus gizzards for 5 is only $19... Where to find????

Cheen The Curious

Popiah . 28 Rojak No Pork No Lard #01-28 also prepares this non-meat snack . Tasted yummier with chilli paste

Cheen The Curious

Rojak . Despite the declaration of what's not included, enjoyed a plate from 28 Rojak No Pork No Lard #01-28. $3 for this plate. Could be less sweet though

Mei Wan Foo

Tanglin Halt peanut pancake is second to none in Singapore. Lovingly handmade by a friendly old couple.

Cheen The Curious

Ordered a plate char siew+roast duck rice fr Ban Seng Roasted Meat #01-15. Owner served dish w bowl of 'double-boiled' soup & said "$5". While I dun mind, I didn't appreciate forced sales tactic :-(

Ting

Traditional local breakfast - Putu ayam with freshly grated coconut available at the only Indian stall .

Michael Sullivan

The pasta carbonara at Indulgence (#01-06) is really good especially with all the crispy bacon .

Cheen The Curious

Water cooler near one of the tray return areas

Z K

Best Fried Beehoon , Chicken Wings and Fried Meat Patties. However it only opens during evening time, with every dinner hungry fellow queuing for it. It's worth the wait though!

Dora Choo

Liver , gizzards and chicken feet skin (collagen) on a plate - $4????

Eric

Get the Original Peanut Pancake (Anthony Bourdain The Layover)

The pork and lard free lor mee is good and the serving is insane.

Five Foot Way coffee is good. Kopi-O only 70cts

Limited variety! Can't find anything good.

Soya milk from Ah Luck #01-17 tasted diluted, not particularly fragrant
