I'd just like to move in here, but they won't let me. I love everything on the menu. The Fried Chicken and Artichoke Dip are my faves, but their healthier stuff is also delicious. Great cocktails too.

Melissa Yu

Love the vibes at Walter's. Fried catfish was very well-seasoned, oysters were perfect and great cocktail menu . We also were treated to a complementary slice of lemon pie . Excellent service .

Jean

Great brunch spot in the Fort Green Area . The hostess was so kind &gave me a complimentary mimosa while I waited for my party. The food was fresh and tasty, and the service was prompt, and attentive.

Andrea

Excellent raw bar , salads are huge and filling, deviled eggs with sirachi--yum, and the seafood stew --They need to make it with a seafood broth. rare burger no good. Needs improvement. Good drinks

Brad Klein

Great summer wknight dinner . Mac&chz was bit tangy-er than standard, but tasty! Fried chix was great, garlic mashed potatoes STELLAR. French Dip v. tasty, fries ????. Only complaint = svc was tad slow.

Tarah Feinberg

The fried chicken and waffles are amazing. Love the seasoning, the chicken is moist, the waffles are fluffy and I like the choice of sweet or savory sauces.

Mike Woods

The pork chops are cooked perfectly and are paired with jalapeño grits that will melt the moment you taste it! The ambiance is dope...soul music on rotation the whole time...repeat!

Lisa

Chicken & waffles+Sunday brunch = bliss!! Perfectly seasoned & cooked to perfection. Pair it with a Bloody Mary or champagne . Leave room for their desserts . Worth every penny.

Simon Abrams

Fried chicken and waffles are exceptional. Consider getting a side of bacon - it's not necessary, and might even be a bit overindulgent, but it's worth at least thinking about.

Brandvirtuoso Aka MarieL

Cucumber , mint lemonade ...yum, add gin and your in heaven. Catfish sandwich delicious. Chicken and waffles - chicken juicy but waffle abit doughy... And yes the fries are that good!!'n

Mar Sal

Yummy burger . Heard the chicken and waffles are awesome but only available for brunch . Drinks: Bramble was good. Hemingway daquari is okay. Opt for the Singapore sling! Wings are sweet and very spicy !

Royce Wynn

Food was so good. The salad was delicious and I had the steak , which was cooked perfectly. Would recommend this place to anybody. But know you're gonna spend.

Had a lovely brunch of oysters and omelette at the bar . The staff was lovely and attentive.

Secret tip-best ribs in NYC. Best items: ribs , fries , octopus , garganelli, steak

Brett J

Perfect dinner for 2: 2 gin brambles, artichoke dip , French Dip (fries , potatoes great) and brussel sprout side. Runners up: fried chicken and duck bun (spicy ,cold like lobster roll .) 2 more brambles.

Mike McBryan

True neighborhood spot . Crowded and energetic even late on a Sunday night. Try the oysters , duck buns , beet salad and brussels with apples .

Woldy Reyes

Th martinis and the Brussels sprouts are out of this world the bomb!!! :) also the blueberry cobbler is sinfully delish! Ask to add vanilla ice cream with it!

Experiences

Newbie offshoot of Walter Foods on Grand in B'burg. Completely adorable. Live old-dudes jazz-jam sounds wafting in from the Fort Greene Farmer's Market across the street makes for a trés classy meal.

Aleah Nichole

One of the great neighborhood spots and our go to when visitors are here. Consistently delicious food and great drinks.

Jamila Loubriel

I find it pretty funny that every other restaurant in Brooklyn and NYC does to go or carry out orders except walter's bc their kitchen staff "can't handle it with the crowds". Please step your game up

Anne Conner

The salmon eggs benedict & french toast were delicious! My Bloody Mary was really good too :-)

Veronica Ray

Had dinner with my mom here when she visited. Perfect classy yet unfussy place. Not crowded after work during the week.

Clay Jones

Helles lager : quite good. Huevos rancheros also excellent. Good booze selection, nice if busy bartenders . Makes a good Aperol spritz . My go-to brunch .

Christina

The complimentary muffins are where it’s at

KE

The dinner food is heavy (artichoke dip , burgers , the carrot app is like a super sweet dessert ) and not worth $$$ in my opinion. Cozy , nice vibe to hang out and get a drink though!

Rebecca Atwood

Excellent cocktails by a fine bartending staff . Good food and a relaxed yet trendy and romantic vibe .

S

Oysters are the best I've had in a long time. Briny and meaty. Artichoke dip also amazing but not if you're on a diet.

Peyton Sherwood

great cocktails . nice bench with a view of the park (and street) to wait for your table on if the weather's nice.

Sophia Chew

Best fried chicken-most incredible drinks and be sure to ask for the chef special . Oh, and the key lime pie ...don't forget it.

Robert M

It's awesome great bartender with skills and the burger was great oysters were well picked cold and the mignonettes were perfect I mixed them together :)

Nicole Formica

The artichoke dip and brussel sprouts were outstanding. Come with friends and share all the sides!

Peter Neufeld

Best place to have brunch post-Saturday farmer's marketing at Fort Greene Park . Plus, even if you don't eat here, they have a very open bathroom policy.

Doctore Aguacate

Great salads . Also, the 6$ oyster shooter is a steal. Only on the brunch menu , but they always have oysters ......

Anthony

The Blackened Catfish on the brunch menu is delicious, as is the French Dip on the dinner menu .

Holiday

Remains open post brunch , pre dinner weekend afternoons albeit a reduced menu. Always a loud and lively restaurant .

Michelle Wendy

Do slurp up fresh oysters and fried chicken and waffles . Don't be deterred by the wait or bustling/cramped space. Its so worth it!

Gianna Nebbia

Burger , bloody Mary , Home fries are all splendid

Peter Shum

It's just as good as their Williamsburg location. Was there for brunch and it absolutely hit the spot.

David Brahler

One of the best restaurants in Fort Greene. 1/2 off oysters during happy hour M-TH.

Mickie MANG

The Brussel sprouts are amazing!

Angie Sanders

Amazing Bloody Mary (and I'm picky). LOVED the Eggs Benedict with salmon !

Courtney Bolton

I come here all the time - excellent cocktails . Excellent brunch , plus oysters .

John Marachilian

Don't be surprised when assholes will ignore you when you ask them to move their bags from the bench so you can sit down at your own table.

Katerina Anna

Great breakfast , great service, great music , FTW!

Tamara Goodman

Brussel sprouts are AMAZING! Spicy honey for the fried chicken...yummy! Always consistent...always crowded :).

Rich Daniel

Blackened catfish , pork chop were both outstanding. Amazing cheese grits .

Emily W

Great brunch . Coffee refills. Beautiful space and really good service .
