I love this park ! Come back for the farmer's market on Saturday mornings. Hit up Walter's for a snack . Notice the placards marking the "tree trail " - there are 20 different kinds of trees here!
Hilly with lots of trees . Monument and visitor area are full of interesting info from the revolutionary war . No benches on outer perimeter of park . Only towards the inside area.
Beautiful park ! Outdoor movie events , dog friendly and lots of restaurants in the area to grab something to eat!

Fall Foliage: Take the steps to the Prison Ship Martyrs Monument to take in spectacular views of the changing leaves of elm, oak, ginkgo and osage orange trees .

Rode one of those citi bikes around the park , what a workout..lots & lots of steep hills
Run off-leash between 9pm-9am at this park . Slight elevations throughout the park keep it interesting for the dogs and the humans!
Beautiful, hilly, with a few great climbing trees ! Nice views too.
Best running path in the area. Circle around the hill is just about a mile. Try uphill too for an extra challenge.

Visit the free Revolutionary War history museum atop the hill . The museum and the largest free-standing doric column in the world are designed by the lecherous Stanford White.
Because of the dogs, the park is mostly mud - and the remaining grass has been pooped and peed all over. Needs a doggy pen - like Madison Square park . And they bite me when I run. Irresponsible owners

You're standing on top of a mass grave! On the north side of the monument , read the plaque about the Revolutionary War soldiers buried under the park .
If you are a female sunbather , look out for the creep with dreads who will come sit 15 feet away from you and watch you while he talks phone. He's done this for years. Only bad thing about the park !

Check in with the park attendant in the blue shirt , Addison, to reserve your court. Permit holders have precedence when reserving court time.

Memorial to US soldiers that died on prison ships in Wallabout Bay during the Revolution. The 1st tomb was on Hudson Ave but a 2nd memorial was built in Fort Greene Park by McKim, Mead & White in 1905 - Richard Lowry
