Visit Williamsburg's wood chipped dog run for some fun and go out for brunch at one of the many neighboring dog-friendly outdoor restaurants in the area.

The grass is usually burnt and destroyed, but fun to people watch during softball games. Grab a drink to go from the Turkey Nest.

Nice park with good view of the city . Wonderful farmers market during the weekend (all year long).

For peace & quiet and a real park setting - go here on the weekdays during the day. If you want the NYC crowds and inhalation of cigarette smoke come weekend afternoons and evenings w/ the Hipsters .

One of the best parks in Brooklyn to chill out with friends. If you’re sporty the park has baseball & soccer fields , a track and a pool! There’s even a dog area.

Love this park . Go run on the track field , play ball (baseball or soccer ), enjoy the pool, use the outdoor gym equipment, skateboard or people watch . There is so much to do in this park ❤️

All American summer park vibe with none of the stuffiness, pretentiousness and perfection of Central Park . Real people, real grass and real weeds.

Be sure to bring a blanket! The lack of rain has made the grass a bit dry and prickly. But this is still the best park in Williamsburg!

The beloved park in between Greenpoint and Williamsburg is known for its kickball leagues, public pool, and summer movie screenings.

Great for people watching , and falcon sightings. Just curb your mexican hairless, if you don't want them to get swooped up. There are bats in the trees at night.

Head over to the Turkey 's Nest and get a special to-go cup before you bask in the grass . Or, if you're feeling active, head on over to the concrete fields and play a pickup game of kickball.

There's a lot to do at McCarren Park: basketball courts , baseball fields , a huge swimming pool . I come here to stare enviously at people's dogs.

If you're looking for an unconventional sport to play, try out for the Brooklyn Kickball team. The season "kicks off" in May and plays every Sunday at McCarren Park (Gilroy Field ). Read more

Almost as good a place to go people watching as Washington square, but it's more spread out so it feels a bit quieter at first.

The crowds have changed a bit over the years and while it's no longer the hipster paradise of yore, it's still a lovely place to read a book , take a run or watch/play dodgeball and softball.

This is the model for what a park should be.

Excellent Park to chill out , practice exercise or enjoy with your friends.

The track is a great place to exercise but it's best to come in early as to avoid the crowds.

Nice location for a relaxing stroll. Also good for people and dog watching.

My puppy loves this park at night, plenty of grass area to roam and you can unleash your dog after 9 p.m. Lighted field & track and summer film screenings are a super plus!

It’s worth noting that bringing your javelin to the dog park can ruffle some serious feathers.

Grab some shade and a discrete margarita from Turkeys Nest and do some people watching .

If you go near the field house, you can connect to free Wi-Fi.

Plenty of space to layout and enjoy the day. People and pet friendly .

Play some softball, read a book in the shade, watch a beautiful sunset .
