Sandy with hood areas to snorkel . Can be a bit rough. We stayed near the area with restrooms , but if you walk the path surfing looked good.
Bumpy ride down to the beach , it's rough, but beautiful. A good spot to watch the whales breaching in late march
Gorgeous white sand & turquoise water. Can get WINDY. skip the umbrella or you'll turn into Mary Poppins!
4WD recommended for the road to the park
Great set of beaches for differing levels of hike ambition. Also one of the few places you might see monk seals - Mark J.
Lots of opportunity for shade, amazing sand, gorgeous views. Rough road to get here, but worth the bumps. - Maui Hawaii
Must see if you're on the main highway near Kona, just a mile or so north of the Kona airport. - Kate Hailey
A great sunbathing beach but not too good for swimming. High waves and sharp rocks close to the shore. - Quintein
