Great cafe away from the tourist zone. All dishes good esp po boy , fried chicken , gumbo . Staff v friendly too. Quite cheap too. Locals also go- a good sign!
My son asked if it was a family style restaurant . I said, no it's buffet . He said, but they treat you like family! Great service and the bread pudding may be the most addictive thing I've ever eaten
This Seventh Ward restaurant was featured extensively in HBO’s “Treme ,” and it's perfect for a Creole or soul food lunch from the lunch buffet . Call for hours. [Eater 38 Member] Read more
A Tremé classic, where the dark-roux gumbo is chock-full of crab and sausage and the craggy-crusted fried chicken is sold by the piece.
Amazing brunch ! Soul food at its finest. No booze but bring your own. Buffet looks amazing, but I opted for eggs . No regrets either way. Best biscuits I’ve ever had
All the food is great...the buffet has all the soul food you can want specially fried chicken , greens, Mac and cheese , gumbo , etc. all a great price.
If you want a real NOLA experience....this place feels like home. Everything is great. Try the Trout with Mac n Cheese . Love the sassy waitresses .
The buffet was great! Some of the best food we have ever had. Little Dizzy's will be on our, "must visit list", every time we are in New Orleans!
Really good fried chicken ! Only open for lunch and very busy but worth the effort.
THE best fried chicken (get it a la cart) and gumbo in town . Get them to go and stroll over to Armstrong Park for a picnic .
Everything was amazing and very affordable . Good homestyle food. Get the gumbo !
The food overshadows mediocre wait service & way-too-informal staff who, loudly , regard each other with profanity. Head str8 for the seafood omelettes , gumbo , and killer fried chicken .
Chicken that’s crispy on the outside, tender on the inside. Try the delicious bread pudding !
1st meal of the trip….”Fire”!!Catfish Po’boy. Soft Shell Crab , Greens and Mac n cheese . Getting our Big back eating on ????
Nice spot but the po boys are not good... wish I had gotten that fried chicken !
A little dive restaurant ... but good food. The bread pudding is a must.
Chicken , gumbo ,Mac and cheese , bread pudding and the seafood !
Great chicken , gumbo , bread pudding . Have to come here for real NOLA food
The bread pudding was my favorite! Great staff too!!
Fried chicken and gumbo
Fried Chicken for sure!
This place is what u call down to earth soul food ......make u come back for seconds
Fun place with great staff .
By far the BEST bread pudding I've ever had!
Small place, overly packed, which means GOOD DOWN HOME COOKING!
Supporting a @ROCNola High Road partner :) If you're in #NewOrleans, you must eat here!
The best fried chicken and bread pudding
Great seafood gumbo and sweet potatoes/yams to knock your socks off!
French toast . Awesome!
Very old school
Shrimp Grillade and Cheese Grits
Overrated! Service was unacceptably slow and the bread on my po' boy was stale. The bread pudding was awesome, but not enough to salvage the experience. You can do better for Cajun in NOLA.
The bread pudding is insane!!
Great place to get breakfast before you head over to Jazz Fest
All the chicken and fish I can eat!
Get the French toast and grits .
The one on Poydras is much better! This is a hole in da wall with the roaches ewww
had breakfast here and learned from a waitress that HBO's 'Treme ' filmed a scene here ;) Read more
The absolute best food in new Orleans!!
gumbo will make you slap ya mama
Service isn't the greatest (actually very poor) but the food is worth it!
Where do I begin? Came here for Saturday brunch buffet . This is what they call a buffet . And they charge you $16 for this crap. It gave us stomach ache afterwards.
Shitty tourist trap—don't waste your time for typical New Orleans terrible service.
$9でエビ 、ソーセージ 、たっぷりのGumbo! 有名人も行くみたいっす、ちょっとしょっぱい、、海鲜浓汤饭
Lunch buffet was very good, particularly the red beans and rice, spinach, and fried chicken. Very historic place and beautiful inside too. - Gerald Wilson
Pasta on The Bayou is a phenomenal pasta. Thick and creamy sauce coats shrimp and crawfish well :) - Lola
Best gumbo ever! Also the shrimp po boy was amazing!!! I can't wait to get back to New Orleans to eat here again! - Lily Matava
Great Park, nice and beautiful. Close to the French quarter too - Plwm Bwm
Lovely to walk through, there is usually live music and tasty treats to try! Plus great scenery - Candice Rivera
Beignets if you love sugar, and live jazz on street. Beautiful setting, great service/staff. - C S
