Grab an oroshi chicken bowl with ontama, throw in some pickles and mushrooms , and go to town . A healthy, tasty hit of protein - and cheap , too!
The wagu beef with the soft boiled egg in a rice bowl is my favorite. I always order double wagu ! Remember to order it as a set to include a miso soup and a salad with a sesame dressing ????
Compact restaurant in Meriton retail . Packed during meal hours. Fast svc. Reasonably-priced food. We had: Ontama Wagyu Beef bowl & Shrimp Sticks. Both were excellent.
Wagyu bowl and crab cream croquettes for me. They are very generous with the beef :)
Like mappen , it's price is amazing. The bowls are incredible. Try the salmon especially. There's more than enough variety for anyone
Very nice beef bowl rice with prawn tempura ! Queue is usually long but it only takes a while till your turn.
The Ontama Roast Beef Bowl was really affordable as the portion was big, but it wasn’t the best. The Curry Croquette was pretty good. The Takoyaki was alright.
Favourite ottamma beef bowl in Sydney????????????Cheap ,delicious and fast order.Good choice for CBD workers to enjoy lunch meals
The salmon with cheese on rice ! To die for. Affordable, satisfying and delish! I would come back every night if I lived closer.
Love coming here, food is good, portion is good, and its definitely affordable !
For something that is premade to serve does deliver on taste. Ordered the otama terriyaki chicken & it was satisfying. Good option for quick heavy meals
They are having special promotion of $9.9 for any 3 mini bowls of rice . Limited to 50 serving/ day. Great way to try many dishes.
Note that it's a cash only place. There's an ATM just across, so only an issue if you don't notice until you get to the till to pay :)
The beef bowl tastes soooo good. But if u add all the sauce, the rice may be salty.
Great food and value for money . Central location and efficient service . Open till late.
Great food and at a great price. One of the cheapest places in the CBD for cheap food.
They have a third store opposite the rice store. No more waiting in line if you are doing take away and forgoing the other tempura stuff.
the best Japanese food n is not expensive .. all meal is nice :) love it
Small bowl of Oiden curry is all you need to get you going to dinner time...! Cheapest lunch / dinner option in Sydney.

The regular plain beef bowl is just ridiculously perfect. So good!
Soup base was perfect
Only had 1 small piece of beef in my large oiden bowl! Love the deep fried eggplant though :)
Mappen 's deep-fried cousin (Owned by the Menya group!). Try the Oiden set!
So delicious! Try the beef croquette- yum!
Nice but the quality of the ingredients is better at Bondi Junction store!
If u know Japanese, you will find it strange inside because all of the Japanese characters are spelt backwards.
No more free shallots at check out. But you can ask them to put it in when you order.
Very tasty and reasonably priced. Cheese curry is Yum.
