Food is hot and fresh. The BBQ Pork Bun is a must order here, it’s the best I’ve ever had. Prices are reasonable and service is fast. Be sure to go there early to avoid long queues. Read more
Michelin-one-star Dim Sum restaurant where every dish is steamed upon order. Must-try items include Baked Pastry BBQ Pork Bun . I was born in Hong Kong, welcome everybody to ask me questions about HK.
This is super confusing to find- follow the escalators down toward the airport express and you'll find it in a row of stores underground. Grab a paper to order while you wait in line !
You can take out some menu in case of very hectic schedule. Go and request take out menu slip to the counter. Generally waiting time will be appx.10-15 min. or less.
You can never go wrong with Tim Ho Wan, where you can find most of the dim sum selections with a better dining area and comfort, price can be a little higher than normal dim sum shops though
This is a Michelin rated restaurant , albeit 1-star so it won't hurt the wallet. You can fill up for about $6-10US. Prepare for a 30-45 minute wait at peak times. Don't miss out on the pork buns !
Dim sum made when you order. The roast pork bun , veggie shrimp dumpling , fried green pepper are all very good. Be prepare to line up. Will always come back for their amazing dim sum .
Try going a bit earlier to avoid the line (got there by 6pm on a Fri and got one of the last free tables). Baked BBQ buns are a must. Shrimp/pork steamed dumplings and pan-fried pepper were delicious.
Don't want to wait? Get takeout instead and head up to the roof garden . You still get fresh food (faster than waiting for a table) and get to eat outside overlooking the Kowloon skyline.
⚠️ If you're in the IFC Mall looking for Tim Ho Wan, you're in the wrong place! It's located in the Hong Kong MTR Station building. Follow the signs from IFC Mall to the Airport Express .
Yes, it's legendary pork bun deserves all the fame it gathers. Service is efficient at this branch. Most likely you will share a table with other food lovers but that's not a problem at all.
Life-changing pork buns . Dim sum is great… but the pork buns . The location in Tong Mi is definitely the best. Tried the HK train station one and the food was slightly off. Cash Only
Their char siu bao is a must, super delicious, the best I ever tasted. But don't order lor mei kei if you are not a fan of glutinous rice , it's very very filling until you have no chance to try others
Service is curt and the wait on a Sunday afternoon is about an hour. Still, Tim Ho Wan is not to be missed. Order the pork buns , short ribs , rice rolls .
This is my favorite dim sum restaurant in the whole world. Get anything, and it will be good. I enjoy the bbq pork buns , shu mai, and haw gao. I will always return and remember.
Good value and quality dim sum . Char siu bun is sweet and melt in the mouth. Must try! Get there before the shop opens at the weekend, queue up and you will be seated in no time.
Order a takeout of their famed char siu so buns , drizzle with Chilli oil , order a cup of Chinese Pu Ehr tea , walk to the IFC open podium overlooking the harbour . Enjoy the views and delectable fare!
Definitely get the baked pork buns . Don't be intimidated by the line , ordering to go is extremely quick.
The BBQ Pork Buns are a must try! If you're travelling out of HK via Airport Express , you can take out some to bring back home! The wait for takeout is much much shorter too!
Very affordable & awesome Michelin Star dim sum served swiftly to you upon seated. Must try: Siew Mai , Barbecue Pork Bun &Shrimp dumplings . Highly Raved and you should not miss it. Read more
Whenever I crave the pork buns from here I try to come during off hours to miss the peak traffic. Even tho I love the food here, I wish they didn't rush us out so fast.
I fly out a lot and blame my weight gain on ordering their BAKED PORK BUNS each time--inhaling them by the time I get out the airport express ????. They are mad good and what Tim Ho Wan is known for!????
Their famous pork bun 酥皮叉烧包 doesn't disappoint. Also like their har gao 虾饺, shiu mai 烧卖, and osmanthus jelly 桂花糕. Good service . The 40 minutes wait for a table was worth it.
Famous for top quality affordable dim sum , always a long wait to be seated or take away , recommend take away got get stairs downstairs at airport express . Must try there famous pork buns
Char siu bao , obviously. While waiting for your table, numbers can go fast, so be nearby. Also, they expect you to order on the menu in pencil before you sit down.
Dim sun is one of the best i habe ever eaten. The price is very low for a one michelin star restaurant . Complimantory tea is very good. deserts are not satisfactory.
#1 Shrimp with egg white , 2 Gluteus rice , 3 pork & shrimp dimsum 4 double boiled pair soup 5 BBQ pork bun . Then, you have a full meal.
The best dimsum place!!! Best seller is the crispy pork bun . Order their triwd and tested siomai and hakaw too ???????? lines are really long so don't go there during peak hours..3pm should be fine!
Be prepared for a long wait . Cheap Michelin star dim sum . Baked BBQ pork bun is a must, radish cake is delicious. Chicken feet is somewhat disappointing.
We ordered WAY too much, forgetting that almost every menu item includes 2-3 pieces. Best is the BBQ pork buns , as they say.
tried at hk station..very recomend: the chasio bun..but i prefer the Sands Jakarta dimsum ..more delicious than this place
Long queue, but it will be worth it! The chef used to work for Michelin star restaurant before, so lots of people come here
Service is brusque and curt. Must try the char siew buns ; this place does a very delicious and unique take on this traditional bun .
The lady at the reception will give you a queue ticket which also serves as an ordering card. You can order additional items when you get the table.... baked bun is great!!!!
Baked bun with BBQ pork is a must must try! Craving for more! And the steamed rice pudding wrapped with BBQ pork is best with the sweet soy sauce !
$30 for a two person Michelin starred dim sum in the heart of Hong Kong. What more can I say?
The BBQ pork buns are not the traditionally steamed ones served at dim sum , but are an absolutely delicious alternative.
michelin star dim sum . lovely! try bbq pork buns . use take away and eat the food on the rooftop of the ifc mall .
We get here moments before it opens and wrote down our orders on the yellow order form while we waited.we handed it to our waiter the moment we sat down and we were first to eat :)
BBQ pork buns are always good. The wait can be very long as this location seems to be favored by tourists . I've had much shorter waits and slightly better food at the north point one.
love love love the char siew buun...the bun is yummy and so soft yet meaty inside...4
Cheapest Michelin star restaurant in the world! Best: Baked Char Siew Buns . Excellent: Chives dumplings , Fried Beancurd Skin Roll & Carrot Raddish Cake !
If you just can't find the time to get to the Olympic branch, this is great too. I went 5x in total and thought Olympic was noticeably better, though.
The pork buns are world class . Baked to perfection. ????
Must go for char siu bun . Very unique. Dim sum here is also very affordable for the quality!
Don't try to have dinner here on a Saturday night. The lines are always long but at that particular time the wait will really test your patience. The baked bbq pork buns are worth it though!
you'd think this place couldn't be all that good given its location in a train station and you'd be super wrong. the name also should be comforting to canadians
Don't pass up the fried turnip , it's delicious! Also good: veggie dumplings .
Dim sum place with a Michelin star (this is their second location, the original is in Mong Kok). Get the pork buns .
