The new large dog run is now open (June 6, 2013)! The entrance is now on W 4th (Wash Sq Pk S).
In the new and improved dog run , big dogs and small dogs are separate but equal.
No dog. No entry. But take a seat on the benches just outside to watch in envy.

Despite the hard work of all volunteers, this continues to be the dirtiest dog park in all of Manhattan. I would avoid at all costs if it weren't for proximity to my apartment .

George Washington owned the following hound dogs: Captain, Cloe, Forester , and Lady Rover and a Dalmatian named Madam Moose.
Rosie the Ultimate Fox Terrier loved it. Not too-too crowded . Friendly dogs and people.

don't ever bring food into a dog park or you'll have lots of funny attention.
don't get there too early. no one wants to be the first doggie in the run.
