At night everything is lit and the water is beautiful. On any given night, people will ask you to go to their club or bar . Great place to go when you have no idea what to do. Promotors are ready!

This plaza is the heart of Madrid and one of the busiest places in the city - a hub for the local transit system, a favorite meeting spot for locals, street performers , and all the tourists .

The main square of Madrid where the historic bear reaching for the strawberry tree statue is. A number of small lanes lead from this square and each one is great to walk down and discover pubs .

Went for a coffee , but ended up with so much fun and many choices for gifts . The place is very lively and there are other worthwhile places around it that you can reach on foot.

Beautiful and lively during x-mas! The best plaza ! It welcomed us to the beautiful Madrid city center. Crowded but great!

One of my fav places so far. Full of shops, cute little bars , restaurants , tapas ..etc. you'll never be disappointed. You'll always find whatever you need. Go try churros !

Probably the most touristic and busiest place in Madrid. Lots of street artists and people walking around. Be sure to watch your bags and keep your pockets closed!

between 7am and 10am, the pedestrian side streets can be filled with delivery trucks , tourists at nearby hotels seeming brekky and checking out. It makes navigating the area interesting.

No trip to Madrid will be complete without visiting the Puerta del Sol, a square at the center of the city where you'll find the El Oso y El Madroño , one of the city 's most notable structures .

Buy bus tour tickets here at the newspaper booth . You don't need to get in a long line at other popular booths . And you get to ask many questions.

See the center of Spain here. Don't go to the Vodafone store here, the line is freaking long. Plenty to do here. Sight seeing, museums , shopping, drinks, food and beautiful people.

Look for Kilometer 0 - where all the roads originate from the center of Madrid. Crowded during holidays, all day and night.
