Absolutely lovely place! Make sure to sit outside and ask for Rick as your server. Great customer service and great prices.
"Start your day off right with The Cafe's hearty omelettes or French toast or the awesome salads and sandwiches at lunch time - that is, if you can find a table."
The tomato dill soup is amazing! Get a half sandwich and soup , because the half feels like a full sandwich . Have some cake too! I ordered sheet cakes from The Cafe for my wedding and everyone raved!
Check the cake selection as soon as you are seated. The Airline Roast Chicken was great as was the Ryes and Shine cocktail
Great location...don’t let the train bridge fool you! The egg sandwich and biscuits and gravy were fantastic.
One of my absolute fav places to have breakfast or lunch ! ...never had a bad thing here!
This is the best tomato soup I've ever had. Silky and flavorful.
The food here is always delicious! ...and while there, stop in to Louisville Stoneware (pretty much right across the street) :-)
Their Chippendale salad is the best! Ask for Erica or Tonya! Best waitresses around!
Wow, amazing breakfast food with a really nice interior.
EVERYTHING is good here! And their cakes are amazing!
Tomato dill soup and half roasted vegetable sandwich--delicious! And the chocolate tuxedo cake is to die for.
Their Chippendale salad is the best in town .
Call ahead & make a reservation . The salads are huge!
Had their breakfast hash , it was awesome!
The tomato dill soup and Victorian sandwich at the BEST!!
Had the Rubino and it was awesome!!
Delicious!! You can't pick a bad meal!
The soups are amazing! Especially their potato . And a great atmosphere.
Try The Pimita- pimento cheese pizza !
This place is packed every time I go.. Tomato dill soup is a must have..
The chicken pot pie soup is amazing!
Tomato dill soup is where it's at!!!
The Rubino was awesome!!
Good food but be careful if your server has frosted eyeshadow. You'll never get silverware or water.
Order the apricots
Try the Art Nouveau Herb Chicken Salad - it is fabulous with the Asian sesame dressing !
I don't understand why they don't have lines out the door waiting to eat the delicious food they cook and serve
Some of the best chili in town .
Drove 30 minutes for my party of four. I frequent this restaurant . Service was absolutely terrible. Had empty drinks the entire time. Had to ask other staff for service.
The grits with scrambled egg and bacon on top are delicious!
The tomato dill soup trumps any other in Louisville. Hands down!
Try the oatmeal .
The owner Sal is hateful to his employees. His stress really ruined the experience. The chili is great though.
Excellent quality stoneware in an old tradition! - Charles McCarthy
I'm a huge baseball fan, but you'll love it even if you're not. Definite must see. Don't forget to check out the ceilings!!!! - Aly
14 $ is a bit steep but it is interesting learning about the history. If you go once every 10-15 years then it's worth it. Great for young kids. - Melinda Lee
