Peranakan food is a-must-try if you are in SG; mixed culture of Malay and Chinese created this unique peranakan culture and food. All the dishes were good and will definitely go back for more ;)
Babi pongteh ($16 for medium size). The real deal. Packed with lots of flavour. I can eat a whole plate of white rice with the gravy alone!
Fish head assam curry ($30). Family enjoyed this. Lots of aromatic spices & flavours
Can’t miss the eye-catching exterior of the resto along East Coast Rd, especially when it’s lit up at night
Assam sotong ($18 for medium size). Crispy & lightly spicy . Nice started. Would order again

Bakwang special ($16 for medium serving). Unimpressed with the meatballs . Could do with more aroma
Highly recommended. Simple, homecooked food at affordable prices . Usually not very crowded , especially at lunchtimes.

The best Ngo Hiang in Singapore. Nowhere else is even close.
Ok makan place. But disappointed tat @ 850pm, the claypot Chix in black sauce finished sold out. Not likely??!! Not cheap either??!! But on the whole ok, yum
