First time to try Ethopian food. Fun! Great friendly service . Ordered Taste of Sheba sampler. Great way to try everything. Next to us they had a huge platter w/a whole chicken . That look great!
Really good Ethiopian food . It's a nice vegetarian option . The vegetarian plate is big enough for two people. They offer beer , wine and cocktails .
Another recommendation for the sweet honey wine . The platters are exceptional especially the misir wot . The Azifa appetizer has a pungent wasabi like taste which may not be for everyone.
This place got some dope Ethiopian beer and food! Love the stir fried beef ! For the goodies like Kitfo, weekdays are better!
Azifa, Doro Wot are a must try. Honey wine 's great for sweet wine lovers. Avoid the dry croaker fish . The traditional way of eating from a communal plate is a unique experience.
Their Misir Wot (Split Lentils are stewed with onion , garlic and blend of mild Ethiopian herbs) and Menchet Abesh Wot (Lean Beef grounded and cooked in mild green pepper sauce , red wine and jalapeno a
Small and lively joint serving traditional Ethiopian fare. We’d recommend the Taste of Sheba for newbies with a few glasses of honey wine .
The meat Taste of Sheba was fantastic and great for people that are new to Ethiopian cuisine
Avocado was my favorite appetizer . Amazing veggie platter - more than enough food. Try their manhattans and sangria , both tasty and refreshing!
Be patient with the floor staff - your wait for a drink, your order will be well worth it. First timer? Split the Queen of Sheba Sampler.
Good, cheap and cheerful. I enjoyed the vegetarian platter and honey wine
Nice place for a date or small group. Food is excellent. Sour bread and stewed everything.
Take the platter to share with some extra bread . It's enough for two people.
As a vegetarian , best Ethiopian food in the city .
Love the ambiance here, people are always laughing and happy. Meskerem, around the corner, is a much quieter place.
Attentive staff ; tasty vegetarian lunch ; great location
Get the vegetarian and the meat samplers and share. SO good! Some of the best Ethiopian I've had.
Friendly staff ; tasty food; great location
Combo platters and Ethiopian beer . Can get loud and crowded
Good waitresses , the coffee was like fine wine and the taste of sheba is everything flavorful if you never had ethio food before
Ask for the sampler platter and the Ethiopian beer
Bomb ass place...I mean...this is kinda my most frequented place in NYC.
Get the vegetarian platter or the misir wot ! So good.
They have both Gored-Gored and Kitfo! A raw-beef-eaters dream!!
The sampler is always a safe bet
Get Doro Wot ! Very tasty. The sangria was okay-ish.
Try out Honey Wine and Doro Wot . Good ambience too.
If you eat meat, you should eat the chef 's special tibs.
Fabulous Ethiopian food in the Hell's Kitchen. Not easy to eat with a hand but worth trying.
Spicy and different...all in, it was good.
Combo platter. You can't go wrong!
Always go with a friend so you can sample more of the cuisine. (via Scoville) Read more
First time trying the food. I loved the food. Great selection :)
bring some earplugs as this place can get as loud as the food is good. The Injera is good, the veggie combo is a must!
spicy ! but in a good pleasant wat
Spicy food and goos wines !!
Excellent ethiopian food
Honey wine and veg platter !
Definitely get the vegetarian platter !
Food was ok but the restaurant was way too dim and felt uncomfortable really
Good food. We get the meat and veg sampler. But service can get real slow.
BEST Ethiopian anywhere! Everything is amazing but you must start with the kategna.
Wow! This has been a great Dinner here. I Love ethiopian food and this was The real thing!
I think I came here once
Authentic food
Think outside the square
Get hear early this place gets packed!
Food's way too heavy
Butecha is the best.
Best meal ever!!!!
I liked it a lot. Get the combo and maybe an appetizer, you will be full. Very inexpensive, will return for sure. - Mykle Eli
Get the Timatim Fitfit (tomatoes w/ onion peppers) as an app—fresh and spicy. Veggie combo beats meat dishes and honey wine is the perfect compliment to the savory flavors of the meal. - Becca McArthur
Fantastic vegetarian options. Low-quality wines. Good beers. Great small environment, yet plenty of table/seating space for a close dinner, date or celebration. - DoubleDeuce
My favorite is the s'mores cookie, but you really can't go wrong with any of them! - Heather Beck
Everything is good here! I would recommend going in the evening because the scenery is beautiful. Even in the winter time here you can't go wrong. - Pamela Benford
