Gadsby’s : excellent food and great service (Debbie is amazing) & drinks are awesome! Mini Crab cakes , Filet Mignion & Mashed potatoes to die for! Dine where Washington, Jefferson and Hamilton dined!
If you're into transporting yourself in time & eating in an old New England-style building, this is the place. Lots of attention to detail in the presentation of food. Comfort food , really.
I'm glad I gave the place a chance on my monthiversary date with my wife. The Filet Mignon was very delicious and It was a good portion. I had excellent service by a sweet lady named Debbie .
Gadsby’s Tavern has been offering fine dining since 1770. The first president of the United State George Washington ate here, and they offer his favorite meal until today.
Facility is neat since they have a George Washington connection! Food was fine - try the prime rib . They sadly swapped out mashed potatoes for the Yorkshire pudding - but still enjoyable!
This was so much fun I highly recommend it Benjamin Franklin showed up and talks to our group, making fun of everyone in a lighthearted intellectual way :-)
Everything we ordered was delectable, and the portion sizes even down to the wedge salad were quite generous.
The Tavern Ale - Thomas Jefferson , is yummy (similar to a fat tire ). Their Oyster soup is one of the best I've ever had.
Make sure you talk to Brian and Caroline for some great history on this amazing place...also I loved the Thomas Jefferson ale ! :)
Fried oysters were great and don't forget the peanut soop!
Everything is great, including the entertainment!
There is a geocache practically on the premises.
